Eligibility Criteria :
Engineering Graduates from recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks(all years put together) or equivalent grades. For SC/ST candidates minimum marks are 45%. Graduates from part time, distance learning and correspondence courses are not eligible. Final year students can apply subject to their fulfilling the eligibility latest by 30th September 2009
Note: It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they posses the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by SIU.
Documents required at the time of admission:
The following documents are required to be produced at the time of admission:
1) Certificate of passing the qualifying examination and mark list of all semesters/years or certificate from the college/ institution of having appeared in the qualifying examination whose result has not been declared till the date of admission.
2) Requisite caste certificate if admission is against reservation seats.
3) Gap certificate if there is gap of one or more year between passing of qualifying examination and admission.
4) Certificate for change of name if applicable.
5) Character certificate or transfer certificate.
Selection Procedure
STAGE I:
SNAP Written test - Interested candidates must appear for the Symbiosis national Aptitude test (SNAP test )on 21st December 2008 SNAP test registration and SIOM prospectus is a must.
STAGE II:
Group Discussions and Personal Interviews- Short listed candidates from the first stage will appear for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews as per the schedule at Nashik.
STAGE III:
Those short listed from Stage 2 will be issued Admission Offer letters as per the Merit List.
STAGE IV:
Payment of Fees and confirmation of admission – Candidates on final Merit list must complete their admission by paying the first installment of fees latest by 16th March 2009. Admissions from waitlist will be announced on 18th March 2009. Such candidates must pay fees latest by 3rd April 2009. Further vacancies if any will be announced on the website.
How to Apply:
STEP I:
Appear for the SNAP test on Sunday, 21st December 2008. For this you will have to register online at www.snaptest.org before 25th November 2008.
STEP II:
Submission of SIOM admission Form:
All candidates are required to fill the SIOM admission form online. The form is available on clicking the admission weblink on www.siom.in . Fill the form complete in all respects and submit. Take a printout of the filled form.
1. Candidates buying the prospectus in person from SIOM in cash should pay Rs. 1400 and submit the hard copy of the filled form in SIOM admission department.
2. Candidates can also download the SIOM admission form from the website and send it directly to SIOM along with the Demand draft of Rs. 1500/- in favour of “Director, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management” and payable at Nashik. Such candidates shall receive the prospectus after the receipt of the DD.

Sale of prospectus begins: 3rd November, 2008 (Monday)
Sale of Prospectus closes: 24th January, 2009. (Saturday)
Candidates are advised to send payment towards prospectus so that it reaches SIOM before 24th January, 2009. No payment / form will be accepted after 24th January, 2009.
GDPI shortlist: 4th February, 2009. (Wednesday)
GDPI : 2nd or 3rd week of February 2009
Merit list: 3rd March, 2009. (Tuesday)
Last date of fees payment: 16th March, 2009. (Monday)
Course commencement: 1st June, 2009. (Monday)
All disputes shall fall within Pune (Maharashtra) Jurisdiction only. No capitation or donation is charged for admission to any institute of Symbiosis.
