B.Pharm Lateral Entry 2010

Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to B. Pharm courses, Kerlala-2009, through Lateral entry, in the Government and Private-Self financing Colleges.

Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin and should hold Diploma in Pharmacy. Applicant should have studied in an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and passed the Diploma examination conducted by the State Board of D Pharm Examinations or equivalent and must have a minimum of 50% marks for the second year D Pharm examination (SEBC/OEC candidates will get 5% relaxation in marks while SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination).

Selection of candidates to state quota seats will be made on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, [CEE] at Thiruvananthapuram on 24.01.2010 (Sunday). The examination will consist of one Paper, of two hours duration and will have 100 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions. Candidates except those belonging to SC/ST categories have to secure a minimum of 10% marks in the Entrance examination, to qualify and to figure in the rank list.

Filled applications along with necessary documents and a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- for General candidates and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates, drawn on a Nationalized Bank, in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, should reach Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695 001, either by Registered Post/Hand delivery/Speed Post, latest by 5 pm on 09.01.2010 (Saturday).

The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of candidates of all candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the Director of Medical Education, who will make the allotment and admission, based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus.
