About the Department
The Department of Chemistry, established in the year of inception of the college, 1984, aims to provide scientific support and trained personnel to the industries and to act as a catalyst for starting new industries.
The department offers a PG degree programme leading to M.Sc. (Applied Chemistry) with specialization in
Nanochemistry
Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Environmental Chemistry,
Catalysis
Polymer Chemistry
Electrochemistry & Corrosion.
The Department has collaboration R&D organizations such as IGCAR, CLRI, and other Industries for research activities. The University library is a repository of large volumes of books, national and international journals, and e-Journals in different areas of Applied Chemistry.
The Department also offers research programmes leading to Ph.D. degree and M.Phil degree in the areas of
