KLEU-AIET-2011 will be conducted , from 2 pm to 5 pm on 7th May 2011 (Saturday), at Belgaum (Centre: J.N. The KLEU-AIET-2011 will consist of one question paper to be set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple choice objective type questions, 50 each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology followed by 10+2 Boards/Universities and based on the detailed syllabus given at http://www.kleuniversity.edu.in/aiet-eleven/ugeleven/syllabusugaiet11.pdf. Each correct answer will get one mark. There is no negative marking.
Applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before the 31st December 2011. Academic Eligibility for MBBS will be as prescribed by the Medical Council of India and that for BDS, will be as prescribed by the Dental Council of India. Those seeking admission to MBBS course, should have scored minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination (XIIth /PUC II/ 10+2/ HSC /equivalent examination). Applicant should also have scored 50% marks in English language in the qualifying exam. Those who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination (PUC II/10+2/HSC or equivalent), but whose results have not been declared can also appear for KLEU-AIET-2011, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examination. Those who have passed the qualifying examination (XIIth /PUCII/10+2/HSC/ B.Sc Degree/First year of 3 year Degree course as specified by Medical Council of India to be considered as eligibility for appearing in entrance test) earlier than 2009, are not eligible for applying to KLEU-AIET-2011, for seeking admission to MBBS course.
The application form for admission to KLEU-AIET-2011 is common for MBBS/BDS courses. No separate form is prescribed for any particular course or college. Application has to be submitted online at http://www.kleuniversity.edu.in/aiet-eleven/ugeleven/ugelevenform.asp.
A printout of the applications submitted 'online', must reach 'The Registrar, KLE University, JNMC Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum, Karnataka-590 010', by Registered /Speed Post/Courier or by hand latest by 5 pm on or before 25th April 2011, along with a processing fee of Rs. 1500/- only, by way of a DD favouring Registrar, KLE University, payable at Belgaum, Karnataka and (i) Two recent coloured photographs, as per specifications in Rule 58 (ii) Attested photocopies for SSLC/X Std, and Qualifying examination Marks Cards (iii) Photocopy of Proof of Date of Birth. The left Thumb impression should be affixed in the column provided in the downloaded/ printed Application Form. The name of the applicant and the number of the application form (as printed on it) should be written on the back of the Demand Draft.
Test Admission Tickets (TAT Cards) will be despatched by post to those Candidates who have indicated that option in the application form under certificate of posting. TAT cards can be downloaded by the candidates from the University Website w.e.f. 28th April 2011. The TAT Card will indicate the Roll Number & Examination Centre allotted to the candidate with its address.
In case a candidate does not receive the TAT Card (Hall Ticket) by 4th May 2011, he/she should contact University office immediately. Arrangements will be made for the issue of duplicate TAT Cards at the 'Help Desk' established on previous day (6th May 2011) at respective examination centres. In such a situation, candidate should bring two identical copies of his / her photographs which is affixed to application form along with his / her proof of submission / posting of online printed application form or school/college identity card or photocopy of the submitted application form. In case no proof is submitted duplicate TAT card will not be issued.The fee for MBBS Rs.3,80,000/- and that for BDS is Rs.1,80,000/- per year.
