Admission Notice
LL.M. Course ( 2011 - 2013 ), University of Calcutta
Applications are invited from eligible candidates in prescribed format for admission to 1st year of 2-year LL.M Course ( 2011 - 2012 ). Forms will be vailable on all working days between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Calcutta University Sales Counter, College Street, Kolkata - 700 073 on payment of Rs.400/- ( Non refundable ) from 23rd August, 2011 to 9th September, 2011.
Admission to LL.M. Course shall be open to Applicants who have passed their LL.B. / BA.LL.B. or LL.B. / BA.LL.B. ( Hons ) Examination from this University or from other University recognised by the University of Calcutta at the time of Admission.
Fifty percent ( 50% ) of total number of seats in the 1st year shall be reserved for LL.B. / BA. LL.B. ( Hons ) Graduates of this University and the admission will be on the basis of marks obtained at LL.B. / BA.LL.B.( Hons ) Examination. For the remaining seats Admission Test will be conducted. The written test will be held on 10 th September, 2011 at 12 noon.
Reservation of seats for SC / ST and Physically Handicapped candidates will be as per University rules.
The LL.M. Course is a Whole - time Day Course.
Prescribed forms duly filled in should be submitted to the Department of Law, 51 / 1, Hazra Road, Kolkata - 700 019 on or before 9th September, 2011 against which Admit Cards will be issued on the same day.
This notification is subject to the Rules and Regulation of the University of Calcutta. Further particulars will be available at the office of the undersigned.
