Agglomeration, Coal & Iron Ore, Petrography; Extractive Metallurgy: Hydro-Bio Metallurgy, Pyro Metallurgy, Electrometallurgy, Process Modelling; Surface Engineering: Corrosion, Tribology, Surface Modification; Applied and Analytical Chemistry: Surface and Water Chemistry; Materials Engineering and Evaluation: Physical and Mechanical Metallurgy, Alloy Development, Advanced Materials and Processing, Micro structural Characterization, Plasticity and Mechanical Behavior, Metal forming and Joining, Non-destructive Evaluation, Materials Modelling; Energy & Environment: Waste Utilization, Metal Recycling, Life Cycle Assessment.
Eligibility:
PhD (Engineering)
MTech in Metallurgical / Mineral / Chemical / Mechanical Engg. (for Metal forming and Mechanical Metallurgy) or Materials Science: They must have GATE Score for MTech (within top 20 percentile); CGPA or CPI: more than 8.0; having consistently good academic record from well known universities/institutes.
PhD (Science)
MSc Students having NET-JRF or Lectureship: MSc Students must have passed BSc with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. (Net Lectureship Rank should be within top 20 percentile) having consistently good academic record from well-known universities / institutes
Selection:
Selection for admission to the PhD Program shall be on the basis of interview of short listed candidates at CSIR-NML. The interview for selection will be conducted at CSIRNML, Jamshedpur.
