NOTICE
FMGE SCREENING TEST-MARCH-2012
The FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced by the Screening Test Regulations 2002. As per the regulations, “An Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 13 of the Act.”
The next session of the FMG Exam shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations on Sunday the 25th March, 2012 at New Delhi.
The Examination is held twice a year at New Delhi.
The test is conducted in English language.
The exam consists of one paper.
There will be 300 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of single response type in the paper.
There is NO negative marking.
An applicant shall be declared as having passed only if he/she obtains a minimum of 50% of marks in the examination.
Results (Pass/Fail) for eligible candidates will be displayed at the website and office of NBE. Marks obtained shall be declared for all the candidates and also displayed at the website www.natboard.edu.in.
The applicants who qualify the Screening Test may apply to the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or to any State Medical Council for provisional registration / permanent registration.
There are no restrictions on number of attempts that can be availed by an applicant.
Important dates to Remember
1. Availability of Information Bulletin: Online-www.natboard.edu.in : 22nd November, 2011 (Select Branches of Indian Bank) : 28th November, 2011
2. Last date for Receipt of Applicaontion Forms : 31th December, 2011
3. Last date for Receipt of Application Forms (with late fees) : 15st January, 2012
4. Dispatch of Admit Cards is likely to begin : last week of February 2012
5. Date of Exam : 25th March, 2012 (Sunday)
The eligibility of the candidate shall be governed by the Screening Test Regulations, Eligibiity Certificate Regulations, judgement(s) of Hon'ble Supreme Court/ High Court issued from time to time.
For details of the scheme of examination, eligibility criteria, fee structure and application forms, candidates are advised to refer to the inforamtion bulletin cum application form downloaded (22-11-2011 onwards) from the website www.natboard.edu.in

(bulletin fee of Rs.750/- will have to be paid for downloaded forms alongwith the fee for examination) OR Obtained on cash payment of Rs.750/- from selected branches of Indian Bank (28-11-2011 onwards).
Examination Fee can be paid through cash depoist along with prescribed challan/ pay in slip (Download from website) at all branches of Indian bank and Axis Bank.
Duly completed application form along with examiantion fee receipt can be submitted to the office of NBE latest by 31st December 2011.
Note: Possession/use of Mobile Phones/ electronic Devices is strictly probibited in the premises of NBE Examination centres and candidates shall be liable for the penal actoin for any such act.
NBE reserves its absolute rights to modify/ alter/ amend the admission guidelines.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
Application forms must be submitted within the stipulated time specified in the advertisement & on website. Applicants are requested to ensure that they submit the complete application form, in the envelope provided to reach NBE on or before the last date. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted.

9. Copy of internship certificate (if done abroad)
10. Copy of eligibility certificate issued by MCI (if applicable)
11. Total Four copies of recent passport sized photographs of applicant (2 on the Application Form, Two Photos pasted on a sheet of paper) The photograph must bear nameplate of the applicant. Photograph must have name & date printed on it.
Photograph must bear a date after the start of information bulletin, but before the last date of submission of form i.e. 31th December, 2011.
