Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, Vellore has invited applications for Admission to various Engineering Courses through All India Engineering Entrance examination (VITEEE-2012) for the Academic Year 2012-13.

Civil Engineering

Eligibility:
Nationality:
The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National.

Qualifying Examination:
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2012 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2012, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.
Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2012 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying examination (+2 / Intermediate). The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Or Biology ( PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
Candidates belong to SC / ST category Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the VITEEE are eligible for all the 13 BTech Degree Programmes. Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the VITEEE are eligible only for BTech Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes.

Age Limit:
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1990 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2012. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate / Birth proof certificate will be considered authentic.

I. Online
Applications can be submitted online at

The Printout of application form should accompany either with the following and send through Speed Post addressed to The Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore- 632 014, Tamil Nadu.
i. DD of Rs. 900 Drawn in favour VIT University, payable at Vellore (OR)
ii. Copy of Bank Challan for Rs. 900 (OR)
iii. Use the Net Banking for Rs. 900
NRI Candidates can apply online and enclose the DD of 50 USD

II. Offline
i. The Prospectus and the information brochure for the BTech Degree programme - 2012, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of 950/- from the various Post Offices as given in the link: http://www.vit.ac.in/admissions/viteee2012/plist.asp

ii. Can also be obtained by sending a Demand Draft for 950/- [Computerised DD] drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with Mobile number (or)

iii. By handing over a DD of 950/- in person at VIT University from the following addresses:
