TIFR offers a Visiting Students' Research Programme
(VSRP) to expose academically bright students to research in many areas of
Mathematics, Theoretical & Experimental Physics, Chemistry, Biology and
Computer & Systems Sciences.
The programme will be held at TIFR, Mumbai for all
the above subjects.

Eligibility:
Physics/Chemistry :
Pre-final year students of M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech.
Biology:
Pre-final year students of M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech.
Students doing M.Pharm., Medicine/Engineering will be also be considered.
Mathematics:
Pre-final and final year students of
M.A./M.Sc./M-Stat./B.Tech. Exceptionally
bright pre-final and final year students of B.Sc./B.Stat./B.Math. will also be
considered.
Computer & Systems Sciences
Pre-final year students of B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. /
M.C.A. / M.E. / M.Tech.
Last date for application : For Maths - February 17,
2013.
For other subjects - January 13, 2013.
How to apply
Students are encouraged to apply online.
Before filling the online application form please
keep the following ready :
1. Scanned photo (.jpg file of size not exceeding
100kb ) of your passport size photograph.
2. Students are required to fill in two areas of
study in order of preference. Please
read the Information Brochure before you fill this section.
3. A write-up of 100 words describing your interest
in the most preferred field of study is required to be uploaded (in .doc or
.pdf format and file size not exceeding 1MB).
4. Names and email ids of two Referees who would be
filling up the Referee Report Forms of the student. They should be teachers or persons with whom
you have interacted academically.
The link for downloading the Referee Report Forms
will be sent by email to the applicant after complete registration.
Students from remote areas who do not have access to
internet can send a request for application form along with a self-addressed
stamped envelope of Rs 10/- to :
