Admission Notice 2013-2014

The Institute of Communication run by the Kerala Press Academy has invited applications for the admission to the following PG Diploma courses for the year 2013

PG Diploma in Journalism and Communication

PG Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising

PG Diploma in Television Journalism

Eligibility for PGDJC & PGDPRA:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Final year degree students awaiting their results may also apply.

Eligibility for PG Diploma in Television Journalism:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Those who have studied Journalism / Visual Communication / Audio Video Production as main subject or supplementary in graduate level will get preference in admission. Post Graduates also will get weightage. Final year degree students awaiting their results may also apply.

Age limit Maximum age 27 as on May 1, 2013. However for SC / ST / OEC students the upper limit is 32.

Applications:

Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the Press Academy office near the Civil Station, Kakkanad on payment of prescribed fee as follows:

Rs.300/- for General

Rs.150 for SC / ST candidates

Application forms are available by post on request to the Secretary, Kerala Press Academy, Kakkanad, Kochi - 682030, submitted with bank DD for above mentioned amount, drawn in the name of Secretary, Kerala Press Academy, payable at any bank having service area at Ernakulam.

The filled in applications are to reach Secretary, Kerala Press Academy, Kakkanad, Kochi-682 030 on or before date prescribed as below.

Important Dates:

1.      Last date for the receipt of filled in application: 30/06/13

2.      Date of Entrance examination: 14/07/13

3.      Publication of Results: 25/07/13

4.      Date of Interview: 05/08/13

5.      Commencement of Classes: 19/08/13
