Eastern Railway has advertised for people to apply for vacant Group C positions on its official website. The total number of openings, according to the official announcement, is 21. This recruiting is taking place as part of a sports quota. The deadline for applications for these positions is December 11, 2021.

The number of vacancies in Category-1 Group C, according to the Railways' notification, is 5. The overall number of vacancies in Category-2 Group C is 12, whereas the total number of vacancies in Category-1 Group C is 12. Candidates accepted for these positions will be paid according to the 7th CPC compensation scale.

Candidates must have a graduation or equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognised institute to apply for the Category-1 Group C position. Candidates must have a 12th grade diploma and other required qualifications from a recognised institution to apply for the Category-2 Group C position. Candidates should refer to the official notification for detailed information on educational and athletic qualifications.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no more than 25 years old to apply for these positions. The candidates' ages will be calculated as of January 1, 2022. In this recruitment process, no candidate would be given an age relaxation.

Eligible candidates must fill out an online application form through the RRCER Recruitment portal (www.rrcrecruit.co.in). Fill in your personal information, such as your name, father's name, birth date, community, e-mail address, and phone number. An e-mail/SMS will be sent to the registered e-mail ID/Mobile number after the relevant information is submitted. Note the registration number and password in the inbox of your registered e-mail/SMS. The deadline for submitting online applications is December 11, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.

Selection Process:

For assessment of recognized Sports Achievement as per norms 50 Marks

For game skill, physical fitness & Coach's observations during Trials 40 Marks

Educational Qualification 10 Marks

Total 100 Marks

Examination Fee:

₹ 500/- + Service Charges only for General and OBC Category Candidates.

₹ 250/- + Service Charges only for General and OBC Category Candidates.
