The Banaras Hindu University will hold Banaras Hindu University-Pre Ayurveda Entrance Test-2015 [PAT-2015] on Sunday, 26/07/2015 (Sunday) at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centers for admission to BAMS/ B. Pharm. (Ay.) / BNYS courses.

Eligibility Requirements:
Candidate shall be eligible to appear in BHU-PAT-2015, if he/she:
1. Is an Indian National
2. Has passed the intermediate Science or Pre-Medical Course/12 years of 10+2 examination or Equivalent Examination of recognized Indian University/Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (hereinafter called the qualifying examination).
3. Has obtained not less than 50% of the total marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates, the minimum marks required shall be 40% in the qualifying examination. The candidate has to submit mark sheet and pass certificate at the time of counseling indicating that he/she has passed the qualifying examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with other subjects.

AGE:
The candidate must have completed the age of 17 year but have not crossed the age of 25 years on 31st December 2015 to be eligible for the Entrance Test.
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls between 1st January 1991 and 31st December 1998 (both dates inclusive) are eligible.

How to Apply:
Candidate who fulfils the above eligibility requirements shall apply online at http://www.formzero.in/imsbhu  in the prescribed application form for BHU-PAT-2015 and shall be required to appear in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Banaras Hindu University for the purpose of admission to the first year B.A.M.S., / B. Pharm. (Ay) / B.N.Y.S. course.
Test Fees: Rs. 1200/- for Gen/OBC and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates to be paid online as per the guidelines detailed during submission of completed application form through online.
The test (BHU-PAT-2015) will be held on Sunday, the 26th July 2015 from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM only in one shift. The BHU-PAT-2015 will be held at Varanasi centre only.

Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005, has notified the admission to the MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm Courses at the Institute, for 2012. Admission to the Programmes will be based on All India Competitive Written Test. Admission to the MBBS course, having 84 seats will be based on a two stage Test, the PMT-2012 Screening and PMT-2012 Main.

Admission to BDS (38 seats), BAMS (50 seats) and B. Pharm. (33 seats) courses will be based on the single stage Entrance, PMT-2012 Screening. The number of seats in BAMS course may increase subject to approval by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.

PMT-2012 Screening will be held at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad on 16th May 2012 (Wednesday), to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2012 Main examination for MBBS course which will be held on 17th June 2012 (Sunday) at Varanasi only.

For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm Courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2012 Screening only.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicant should have completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2012. Those born after 1st January, 1996 and on or before 31st December, 1987 are not eligible to apply.

Applicant should have passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together. For MBBS/BDS/BAMS, applicant should also have a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% for General-PC candidates and 40% marks for OBC(NCL)/SC/ST and respective PC candidates.

For B.Pharm applicant should have a minimum of 60% marks for General / OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply. Distribution of Seats: M.B.B.S (84 seats): General-42; OBC-23; SC-13 and ST-6; BDS (38 seats): General-19; OBC-10; SC-6 and ST-3.

BAMS (50 seats): General-25; OBC-13; SC-8 and ST-4.

B.Pharm. (33 seats): General-17; OBC-9; SC-5 and ST-2.

Three percent seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates on horizontal basis in the above courses.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
A candidate shall be required to have:
(a -1) passed the qualifying examination securing the minimum percentage of marks and a minimum of 50 marks in Academic Record as per details given below:

a. Faculties of Arts, Visual Arts, Social Sciences, Science:
(a) Qualifying Examination: (i) Master’s degree in the concerned subject OR (ii) Masters degree in any one of the allied subjects pertaining to the discipline. However,
(i) for admission to PhD in Women's Studies, Peace Research, Public Administration and Nepal Studies candidates holding Post Graduate degree in any discipline of Social Science/ Science/ Humanities/Management would be eligible. Further candidates having postgraduate degree in Nepali Language and
Culture are also eligible for PhD in Nepal Studies.
(ii) for admission to PhD in Subaltern Studies candidates holding M.Phil. degree in subaltern studies would be eligible. Candidates who have done M.Phil. in Subaltern Studies from the Banaras Hindu University shall be considered for direct admission to PhD in Subaltern Studies without appearing in the
CRET. However, such candidates who have obtained the eligibility qualification from other Universities are required to appear in the CRET for subaltern studies.
(iii) for admission to PhD in Geophysics, candidates holding BE/B.Tech. degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science and Technology would also be eligible.
(iv) for admission to PhD in Molecular and Human Genetics, candidates holding BE/BTech. degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical engineering, Biochaemical Engineering, Materials Science and Pharmaceutical Engineering would also be eligible.
(v) for admission to PhD in Mathematical Sciences and Genetic Disorders, under their main-discipline quota, the candidates holding PG degrees in their allied subjects are allowed to appear in the respective CRET of Mathematical Sciences and Genetic Disorders.
(vi) for admission to PhD in Environmental Science & Technology candidates holding B.Tech. in any branch/discipline.
(b) Qualifying Marks: At least 55% in the aggregate or equivalent grade point average in the qualifying examination.

b. Faculty of Performing Arts:
1. For admission to PhD programme in all departments:
(a) Qualifying Examination: (i) M.Mus. OR (ii) M. Musicology OR (iii) MA in Music OR (iv) Master’s Degree in any subject and having passed any one of the following examinations:
(a) B.Mus. Sangeet Visharad Examination of Bhatkhande Vidyapeeth, Lucknow. (b) Sangeet Prabhakar Examination of Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. (c) Sangeet Visharad Examination of A. B. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. (d) Sangeet Vid Examination of Indra Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, M.P. (e) Sangeet Ratna Examination of M. P. Government. (a) Qualifying Examination: Master’s Degree in Dental Surgery.
(b) Qualifying Marks: At least 55% in aggregate or equivalent grade point average in the qualifying examination (wherever the marks/grades are awarded).

(a - 2) Relaxation in Minimum Percentage of Marks / Academic Record For Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Physically Challenged (PC) / Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates: There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks (or equivalent grade point average) for SC/ST and PC candidates in the minimum marks required in the qualifying examination. The minimum marks required for SC/ST and PC candidates in the Academic Record shall be 45 and for OBC candidates 47.50, respectively. However, a Physically Challenged (PC), SC/ST/OBC candidate shall not get the double benefit of being SC/ST/ OBC as well as PC candidate in the above relaxations.

II. Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in:
(i) Subaltern Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences:
Qualifying Examination: Post graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks at qualifying examinations.

(ii) Musicology, Faculty of Performing Arts:
Qualifying Examination: (i) M.Mus. in Vocal or Instrumental or Dance, M.Musicology, MA in Music, MDrama, MPA vocal Instrumental and Dance, any Master Degree from recognized University (Other than Performing Arts) with Sangeet Praveen or Sangeet Kovid or Sangeet Parangat or Sangeet Alankaar or P.G. Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
A candidate shall be required to have:
(a -1) passed the qualifying examination securing the minimum percentage of marks and a minimum of 50 marks in Academic Record as per details given below:

a. Faculties of Arts, Visual Arts, Social Sciences, Science:
(a) Qualifying Examination: (i) Master’s degree in the concerned subject OR (ii) Masters degree in any one of the allied subjects pertaining to the discipline. However,
(i) for admission to PhD in Women's Studies, Peace Research, Public Administration and Nepal Studies candidates holding Post Graduate degree in any discipline of Social Science/ Science/ Humanities/Management would be eligible. Further candidates having postgraduate degree in Nepali Language and
Culture are also eligible for PhD in Nepal Studies.
(ii) for admission to PhD in Subaltern Studies candidates holding M.Phil. degree in subaltern studies would be eligible. Candidates who have done M.Phil. in Subaltern Studies from the Banaras Hindu University shall be considered for direct admission to PhD in Subaltern Studies without appearing in the
CRET. However, such candidates who have obtained the eligibility qualification from other Universities are required to appear in the CRET for subaltern studies.
(iii) for admission to PhD in Geophysics, candidates holding BE/B.Tech. degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science and Technology would also be eligible.
(iv) for admission to PhD in Molecular and Human Genetics, candidates holding BE/BTech. degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical engineering, Biochaemical Engineering, Materials Science and Pharmaceutical Engineering would also be eligible.
(v) for admission to PhD in Mathematical Sciences and Genetic Disorders, under their main-discipline quota, the candidates holding PG degrees in their allied subjects are allowed to appear in the respective CRET of Mathematical Sciences and Genetic Disorders.
(vi) for admission to PhD in Environmental Science & Technology candidates holding B.Tech. in any branch/discipline.
(b) Qualifying Marks: At least 55% in the aggregate or equivalent grade point average in the qualifying examination.

Desirous applicants can obtain INFORMATION BULLETIN PLUS APPLICATION FORM from the ENTRANCE TEST CELL, OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS, BHU, VARANASI -221005, either on cash payment of Rs.50/- (Fifty) only from 11 AM to 3 PM on working days OR by registered post by sending a written request mentioning, name, postal address & payment details along with; (i) A crossed MICR Demand Draft/banker's Cheque issued by any Nationalized/Scheduled Bank for Rs.100/- (One Hundred) only in favour of the CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, Payable at Varanasi, (ii) A self-addressed unstamped envelope of the size 32cm x 26cm. Separate application forms for CRET/CRET-exempted/M.Phil. are required to be filled.
