Central Institute of Tool Design
is an ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 29990; 2010, ISO 14001:2004 & ISO 50001:2011
certified premier Institute in Asia to provide specialized training in Tool
Engineering, CAD/CAM & Mechatronics.
The objective of the Institute is
to meet the requirements of the Industries in the field of Tool Design & Manufacture
and to train the technical personnel in these fields. The Institute was
originally established in the year 1968 by the Govt. of India with the
assistance of UNDP and ILO.
The following courses will
commence from August 2014
1. POST GRADUATE COURSE IN TOOL, DIE &
MOULD DESIGN (PGTD)
(3 semesters) – Total Intake 100 seats (80
self sponsored + 20 industry sponsored)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. (Mech / Prodn) or
Recognized equivalent qualification Age limit : 45 years
Course fee : Self Sponsored - Rs. 23,000/- per
semester
Industry sponsored – Rs. 29,000/- per
semester.
2. POST GRADUATE COURSE IN MECHATRONICS (PGM) –
(3 semesters) – Total In take - 60
Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech.(ECE/Mech/EEE/EIE/Production/Aeronautical/Automobile) Age limit :
45 years
Course fee : Rs.23,000/- per semester
3. POST GRADUATE COURSE IN VLSI & EMBEDDED
SYSTEMS (PGVES) – (3 semesters) –
Total Intake - 60
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. (ECE / EEE / EIE)
Age limit : 45 years
Course fee : Rs.23,000/- per semester
4. POST DIPLOMA IN TOOL DESIGN – (PDTD)
( 2 semesters) – Total In take - 60 (32 self
sponsored + 28 industry sponsored)
Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical
Engineering or equivalent (Recognized by State Board) Age limit : 27 years (not
born before 1.04. 1987)
Course fee : Self Sponsored - Rs.18,000/- per
semester.
Industry sponsored – Rs.20,000/- per semester.

DATE OF EXAMINATION: PDTD at UCE,
Osmania University, at 10.00 AM on 06-07-2014
PGTD/ PGM & PGVES at CITD,HYDERABAD at
11.00 AM on 07-07-2014
Note: candidates need to apply
separately for each examination.
Cost of Application: Rs. 400/-
for general and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST category candidates and for PWD candidates
fully exempted. However SC/ST/PWD category candidates need to enclose proof of
their category duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
MODE OF SELECTION: Candidates under all categories will be selected
based on the rank obtained in the Entrance examination.
HOW TO APPLY:
A) Application form and
prospectus can be obtained from Training Department, MSME Tool Room /Central
Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad – 500 037, on any working day
between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.(Weekly holiday on Sunday) by paying application
cost prescribed in the form of cash or a crossed demand draft drawn in favor of
Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad, on any Nationalized Bank, preferably on
State Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar Branch, Hyderabad – 37.
B) Application form can also be
downloaded from our website www.citdindia.org
and the filled in application forms can
be sent to the Director (Trg), CITD, Hyderabad, along with prescribed
application cost by way of Demand
Draft drawn in favor of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad, C) Candidates who
wish to consider their application under sponsored category also, should submit
the sponsoring letter and experience certificate along with the application. No
age limit for sponsored category candidates. The candidates under sponsored
category will be allotted seats strictly based on the rank obtained in the
entrance examination subject to fulfilling the other criteria applicable to the
category
D) Reservation for SC/ST/PWD quota exists as
per Govt. of India norms.
