B.Tech Admission Notice 2014-2015

Applications have been invited by Nagaland University for admission to BTech programmes of Academic Year 2014-15.

BTech (Regular / Lateral Entry) Courses:

Agricultural Engineering & Technology

Biotechnology

Computer Science & Engineering

Electronics & Communication Engineering

Information Technology

Eligibility criteria for Regular BTech course (Four years):

1. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized Central / State Board of Secondary Examinations or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subject (Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology) are eligible for admission in 4 Years BTech Programme with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC/ST Category.

2. Candidate with valid JEE (main) score may apply directly by obtaining the admission form.

3. Candidate without valid JEE (main) score must appear for the School of Engineering & Technology Entrance Examination (SETEE) 2014 against vacant seats.

Eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry BTech course (Three years): (three seats per department)

1. Candidate must have three years Diploma / BSc degree relevant to subject offered with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC/ST Category. Candidate must appear for SETEE.

Admission:

1. Admission form and Brochure for all the candidates (JEE (Main) / SETEE / University / PH / State) can be collected from the school office after depositing fee of Rs. 250 /- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST) in the University account mentioned below.

2. Candidate intending to appear SETEE (candidate without valid JEE and for lateral entry) need to pay additional amount of Rs. 200/-.

3. Candidates may also download the application forms from www.nagauniv.org.in  and the application fee must be deposited in the Account No. 30351467507, Account Name: NU Fees / Revenue from any SBI branch and the counter foil should be attached along with the application form in every cases.

NUMAT – MBA (Batch 2014-15)

A Special Entrance Test (NU-MAT) will be conducted for Admission into the MBA Programme (Batch 2014-15) of Nagaland University at the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University, Dimapur. The test is intended for those candidates who could not appear in any of the National Level Management Aptitude Tests such as MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA.

Those with valid MAT / CMAT / CAT / XAT / ATMA score may also appear in NU-MAT if they desire so.

Eligibility / Selection Criteria for Admission:

i) Any Graduate with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor Degree final exam and awaiting their results can also apply.

ii) The written test will be followed by Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

iii) Final Selection will be based on the performances in written test, GD and PI.

Registration forms for NU-MAT(Written Test) and the Admission Brochure can be obtained from the Admission Counter of the Administrative Block, Nagaland University Residential Campus, Land Mark Colony, Dimapur – 797112, Nagaland on payment of Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 1,000 for SC/ST). The filled in application forms need to be submitted at the same office.

Important Dates:

i)   Last Date of issue and submission of form for NU-MAT: 09th July 2014

ii)  Date of NU-MAT (written exams): 11th July 2014

iii) Date of GD and PI (Group Discussion & Personal Interview): 14&15th July 2014

iv)  Declaration of Result: 16th July 2014

v)   Date of Admission for MBA 1st Semester Classes: 21 - 25th July, 2014.

vi)  Commencement of Classes: 1st August, 2014

MBA Admissions 2011-2012

Applications have been invited by Nagaland University for admission to MBA course of Academic Year 2011-12.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:
1. Must have completed at least a 3-year Bachelor's Degree Programme in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities /UGC/AICTE .
2. They should have a valid MAT Score.
3. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in the degree examination is 50% for General candidates and 45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST.
4. Foreign candidates (including INRI) having equivalent qualification as mentioned above may be considered for admission to the programme against supernumerary seats

Candidates who are appearing for the final year Degree examination in April-May 2011 are also eligible to apply for MBA programme, however, if selected, their admission will be subject to submission of their provisional result showing an aggregate % latest by August, 2011 failing which their provisional admission shall stand cancelled automatically and the fees paid will be refunded after deducting necessary processing fees.

Candidates seeking admission under reserved categories or against supernumerary seats shall have to submit necessary documents from the appropriate authority as required by Nagaland University of their claim for reservation/supernumerary seats.

Candidates appearing for MAT exams on 1st May 2011 need not wait for the result to be declared. They can submit the filled up forms along with all the documents except the MAT score card/result which can be submitted immediately after the declaration of MAT result.

APPLICATIONS:
Candidates can directly download the form and submit the filled up form along with the application/registration fee in the form of a demand draft(SBI) in favour of "Nagaland University" payable at Lumami. (Rs.500/- for the General candidates and Rs.400/- for ST/SC)

Last Date of submission of filled up form along with the complete documents 31st May 2011.
