M.Sc and M.Phil Programmes

Anna University, Chennai-600 025 has invited applications for admission to the M.Sc and M.Phil Programmes of the University for 2009-10.

The two year M.Sc Programmes are offered in (i) Applied Mathematics (ii) Material Science/Medical Physics (iii) Applied Chemistry (iv) Applied Geology (v) Science and Technology Communication (SS) (vi) Electronic Media (2/3 years) (SS) and (vii) Economics/Financial Economics (SS). A stipend of Rs.1000/- per month is available for those admitted to M.Sc Science and Technology Communication Programme.

Applications can be obtained in person from the Examination Centre, Anna University, Chennai 600 025, on submission of a Demand Draft for Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates on production of Permanent Community Certificate), from 8th April, 2009.

It can be obtained by Post from 'The Director (Admissions), Anna University, Chennai - 600 025', by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.650/-(Rs.350/- for Tamil Nadu SC/ST applicants with a copy of the community certificate) along with a requisition letter and a self addressed slip.

Application form and Information Booklet can also be downloaded from www.annauniv.edu/msc2009 from 8th April, 2009 and the filled in Application sent along with documents and a DD for Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu ) towards Registration fee.

The last date for receipt of filled in Applications by Director (Admissions) Examination Centre, Anna University, Chennai-600025 is 30.4.2009.

M.Phil. Degree Programmes are offered in (i) Mathematics (ii) Physics (iii) Crystal Science (iv) Chemistry (v) Applied Geology and (vi) English. 

Application form together with Information and Instructions to candidates can be downloaded from www.annauniv.edu/mphil2009 from 8.4.2009. The filled in application should be submitted to 'The Director (Admissions) Examination Centre, Anna University, Chennai-600025', along with required enclosures and a Demand Draft for Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates along with a Permanent Community certificate) to reach there latest by 30th April, 2009.

All Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of 'The Director (Admissions), Anna University', payable at Chennai obtained on or after 5.4.2009.
