Applications are invited for admission to the following programmes for the academic session 2009 – 2010 for domicile of Himachal Pradesh Only.
B.Sc.(Hons) 4 year (Horticulture and Forestry)
B.Sc.(Hons) 4 year (Horticulture and Forestry)
B.Sc.(Hons) 5 year Horticulture
Eligibility: For B.Sc. (Hons) 4 year (Horticulture & Forestry) Program:
10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics/ Agriculture of a recognized University/Board with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the above subjects. OR
Examination of a University/Board/College/School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent to 10+2 with science subjects provided the candidate has obtained at least 60% aggregate marks or 'B' grade/equivalent.
For B.Sc.(Hons) 5 year Horticulture program:
10+2 examination with English and vocational courses in Horticulture/Food Preservation and Processing from HP Board of School Education with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the above subjects.
Applicants appearing in their final year examination during March 2009 are also eligible to apply.
Application procedure: PROSPECTUS CUM APPLICATION FORM for, admission will be available from the Registrar Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP) 173 230 on payment of Rs. 700/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) in cash at counter or by sending bank draft worth Rs.750/- (Rs.550/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) payable at State Bank of Patiala, Nauni/UCO Bank, Nauni in the name of the Comptroller of the University.
The application form can also be downloaded from the University website and sending a bank draft worth Rs.700/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) with the form.
