Admissions to 1st year of 3-yeaer B. Sc. Programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration Course

 

The All India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-2010, to be conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NIHMCT) for admission to 1st year of 3-yeaer B. Sc. Programme in Hospitality & Hotel Administration Course in Govt./State/ Private affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management as per the list available here   at for 2010-11, will be held from 10 a.m to 1 p.m on 8th May, 2010 at Ahmedabad (Code 51), Banglooru (52), Bhopal (53),  Bhubaneshwar (54),  Chandigarh (55),  Chennai (56),  Delhi (57),  Dehradun (58),  Gangtok (59), Goa (60), Gurdaspur (61), Guwahati (62), Gwalior (63), Hyderabad (64), Jammu (65), Jaipur (66), Kolkata (67), Lucknow (68), Mumbai (69), Patna (70), Shimla (71), Srinagar (72) and Thiruvananthapuram (73).

Minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Education or its equivalent from recognized Board/ Universities, with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2010 can also appear for JEE-2010. Upper age limit as on 1.7.2010 is 22 years, for General, OBC and Physically Handicapped categories. Those belonging to these categories whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July, 1988 are eligible. In case of SC and ST applicants, upper age limit is 25 years as on 1.7.2010. Only those SC/ST candidates, whose date of birth fall on or after 1st July, 1985 are eligible.

Reservation of Seat will be as per Government policy (15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC & 3% for PH (across board) categories). One seat (supernumery) in each affiliated IHM will be provided for Registered Kashmiri migrants subject to notification from Ministry of HRD.

Application can be submitted in the Application Format that can be downloaded from from http://www.datamationfoundation.org/nchmct/index.html.

Duly filled in format, along with a Demand Draft/Pay Order for Rs.950/- (General/ OBC categories) & Rs.500/- (SC/ST and PH categories) drawn in favour of 'National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, NOIDA' payable at NOIDA, towards fee, should reach 'JEE CELL, NCHMCT, A-34, Sector -62, NOIDA 201301', by Speed Post, latest by 29th March, 2010. Downloading this Application format and submitting it filled, with prescribed fee is necessary for obtaining printed Application Form & Information Brochure.

NCHMCT will despatch printed OMR Application Form & Information Brochure 2010 to such candidates who submit the downloaded Application Format filled with prescribed fee, for filling it up and sending it back to JEE Cell, NCHMCT, NOIDA to reach there latest by 12th April, 2010.
