Admissions to these courses will be based on merit as assessed in the rank list prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination(s), after having the normalization procedure as described in the Prospectus . Only a single application form is needed for applying for admission to the various courses. However, application forms are different for 'General' and 'SC/ST' candidates. A candidate who does not belong to SC/ST community will be treated as a 'General' candidate for this purpose. Children of Inter-Caste married couple of whom one is SC/ST, eligible for educational and monetary benefits admissible to SC/ST as per Prospectus conditions, should apply in the form meant for SC/ST and should attach an inter-caste marriage Certificate from the Revenue officials with the application form. The application fee will be Rs.500/- for General candidates and Rs.250/- for SC / ST candidates.
Application forms, Prospectus and Acknowledgement card can be obtained from Head Post Offices in Kerala (As per the list given at http://www.lbskerala.com/menu/para10/list_of_head_post_offices_in_ker.htm), on payment of Rs.500/- or Rs.250/- as applicable, in cash, from 16th April, 2010 till 5 pm on 7th May, 2010.
Those residing outside Kerala, can get the Prospectus and Application by post by sending a request to the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Extra Police Road, Nandavanam, Palayam-695033, along with a Demand Draft for Rs.550/-/Rs.300/-, from a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology and payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
The Acknowledgement Card will have the application number printed on it and a security key embedded in a box. The candidate should scratch the box to get the security key. The candidate should maintain strict confidentiality of his/her security key to protect his/her interest.
Stage 2 involves the Online Filing of academic data and registration of options and forwarding of downloaded Academic Data Sheet and attested copies of mark list to the Director, LBS Centre for Science & Technology, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 033, This facility will be available from 15-05-2010 to 29-05-2010.
Accepted data and Provisional Index marks will be published on 15-06-2010 (Tuesday). Provisional Rank List will be published on 22-06-2010 (Tuesday). Trial Allotment will be made on 23-06-2010 (Wednesday). Re arrangement/addition/deletion of options has to be done between 23-06-2010 and 27-06-2010.
First Allotment will be announced on 29-06-2010 (Tuesday) and fee remittance based on it has to be made at designated Banks between 30-06-2010 and 03-07-2010.
Facility for Re arrangement/deletion of options after first allotment will be available from 1-7-2010 to 4-7-2010. Second Allotment will be on 06-07-2010 (Tuesday) based on which Fee/Balance fee Remittance has to be made at designated Banks between 7-7-2010 and 10-7-2010.
Facility for Re arrangement/deletion of options after second allotment will be available from 8-07-2010 to 11-07-2010 and the 3rd allotment will be on 13-07-2010 (Tuesday). Fee/Balance fee Remittance at designated Banks based on third allotment has to done between 14-07-2010 and 17-07-2010.
Facility for Re-arrangement/deletion of options for spot allotment will be from 15-07-2010 to 18-07-2010. Spot allotments will be done from 21-07-2010 to 23-07-2010. Candidates allotted will have to join the College on 26th or 27th July 2010. Classes will commence on 28-07-2010.
