Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology invites applications for admission to M.Tech. Full Time (Non - Sponsored, Sponsored), M.Tech. (Research) & PhD. Programs Academic Year (2010 - 2011).

PG Full - Time Programs leading to M.Tech. Degree of different specializations of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics., Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering are available for GATE and Non - GATE candidates as per rules.

Eligibility for M. Tech. (Full Time) Programs :

Non - Sponsored Candidates (with GATE score) :

a) Open Category / OBC Category :

B.E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate (all semesters / years) marks or (CGPA 5.5).
Possessing valid GATE score.
b) Reserved SC / ST Category *

B.E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 45% aggregate (all semesters / years) marks or (5.0 CGPA).
Possessing valid GATE score.
Non - Sponsored Candidates (Non - GATE) :

a) Open Category / OBC Category :

B.E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate (all semesters / years) marks or (CGPA 5.5). (or)
b) Reserved SC/ST Category*

B.E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 45% aggregate (all semesters / years) marks or (5.0 CGPA).
Eligibility for M Tech (Research) **

A candidate should possess B. E. or B. Tech. degree in relevant branch and should have passed with First Class. The candidates should bring valid identity proof at the time of interview.
The candidates should have minimum working experience of 5 years after graduation.
The candidates for M. Tech. (Research) should be :
Candidates paid by Government / Semi - Government organizations.
Sponsored candidates.
Institute Faculty, Staff or Project Staff of the Institute.
Faculty, Staff or Project Staff of the other Institute approved by AICTE / UGC.
External candidates from any private / public sector organization or research laboratory / organization.
The candidates must bring 'No Objection Certificate' from their employers for taking up their M Tech (Research) work at this Institute as per format enclosed at the time if interview.
The candidates would be required to deposit the fee within prescribed time in Account Section of the Institute after getting their selection through interview process. The details of fee is enclosed.
