Applications are invited for ISM JRF (Ph.D Programme) from eligible candidates in the following disciplines

Engineering: Fuel, Mineral, Mining, Mechanical, Mining Machinery, Petroleum, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering and Management, Environmental Science

Science: Applied Geophysics, Applied Geology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Environmental Science


Management and English

M.Tech/M.Phil Programme session 2011-12

Applications are invited for admission to the full time M.Tech/M.Phil programme of the school

Admission shall be through counseling/interview for GATE/NET qualified candidates

If sufficient GATE/NET qualified candidates are not available GATE not qualified/NET not qualified candidate may be considered for admission to the programmes on the basis of performance in the written test and counseling/interview

The application form along with a fee of Rs 1000/- (non refundable) for ISM JRF programme and Rs 500/- (non-refundable) for M.Tech/M.Phil programme should reach the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826004 not later than 07th April, 2011

Applicants are advised to ensure fulfillment of all eligibility criteria

GATE/NET qualified candidates are exempted from appearing in the ISM JRF and M.Tech/M.Phil written test

The ISM JRF (Ph.D)-2011 and M.Tech/M.Phil-2011 written test for GATE not qualified/Net not qualified candidates shall be held on 15th May, 2011 at Bhubaneswar, Chennai, New Delhi, Dhanbad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Varanasi
