All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS, BDS, B.PHARM, BAMS
The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in TWO stages: PMT-2012 SCREENING and PMT-2012 MAIN, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS* (50 seats) and BPharm (33 seats) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2012 Screening.
PMT-2012 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 16th May 2012 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2012 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 17th June 2012 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS / BAMS* / BPharm courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2012 SCREENING only.
ELIGIBILITY:
Qualifications - Passed Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together;
(i) For MBBS / BDS / BAMS – a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% for General- PC candidates and 40% marks for OBC# / SC / ST and respective PC candidates;
(ii) For BPharm – a minimum of 60% marks for General / OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% marks for SC / ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply
AGE: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2012 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1996 and on or before 31st December, 1987 need not apply).
APPLICATION FORMS:
Application Form can be obtained from Bank of Baroda, BHU Branch, S.S. Hospital, Varanasi upto 12.03.2012 and from other designated branches till 05.03.2012.
Application Form can be obtained:
(a) BY CASH: Rs. 1500/- for GEN / OBC and Rs. 1000/- for SC / ST candidates from the following branches of Bank of Baroda.

(b) BY POST: From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1600/- for General / OBC candidates and Rs. 1100 for SC / ST candidates of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU” payable at Varanasi. Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm ´ 6 cm size must also accompany it.
The requisition for PMT Application Form should be superscribed "Request for Application Form for PMT-2012, BHU". Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is 27.02.2012.
Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi-221005 can be obtained by POST only and not in person upto 27.02.2012.
Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR (PMT CELL), INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005 latest by 15.03.2012
