UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship for women
University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications for the award of Post-Doctoral Fellowship to women candidates for the year 2011 -2012 (100 slots), from unemployed women, holding Ph.D degree in their respective subjects, to carry out advanced studies and research in sciences, engineering and technology, humanities and social sciences in Indian universities and colleges.
The candidate should not be more than 55 years of age as on 1st July of the year of award. The total duration of the fellowship is five years.
Fellowship:
For initial two years - Rs. 18,000/- p.m.
For remaining tenure - Rs.20,000/- p.m.
Contingency: Rs.50,000/ p.a. for five years
* Departmental Assistance of 10% of fellowship p.a. per student to the host institution for providing infrastructure.
* For Five Years, Escorts / reader Assistance of Rs.2000/- p.m. in cases of physically handicapped & blind candidates.
