Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram has invited application for admission to various UG/PG/Research Programmes for the Academic Year 2012-13. The courses and eligibility for seeking admission to the same is given as follows:
PG PROGRAMMES:
1. M.B.A.: Any recognized UG Degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks and Desirable score in any National level entrance exam like ATMA / CAT/ JCET/ MAT/ JMAT/ XAT/ Test by SCSVMV
2. M.C.A [ Integrated Programme]: 10+2 or Equivalent Examination from Board of School Education
3. M.C.A.(Regular): Any recognized UG Degree with a minimum of 50% marks with Mathematics at +2 level.
4. M.C.A. (Lateral Entry): B.Sc. (Computer Science/BCA/B.Sc.(IT) with 50% are eligible for entry to second year.
5. Executive M.C.A: 50% Marks in the respective PG Degree M.B.A(Systems), M.Sc.(IT/CS), BTech(IT), BE(CSE)
6. M.E.(Power System) Regular/ Part time: A pass in B.E.(EEE) or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks.
7. M.E.(Computer Integrated Manufacturing ) Regular/ Part time: B.E. [Production/Mechanical/ Metallurgy/ Industrial/Automobile] or Equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks
8. M.E.(Thermal Engineering) Regular/ Part time: B.E. [Mechanical/Automobile] with First Class.
9. M.E.(Computer Science and Engineering) Regular/ Part time: B.E. (CSE/ECE/EEE) or B.Tech (CS/ IT/ EEE/ E&I/ ECE) with 50% marks (or) M.Sc. (CS/IT) with 50% marks or MCA with 50% marks.
10. Acharya (M.A.) Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakarana, Sahitya, Advaita Vedanta and Mimamsa: Sastri or B.A. with specialization in Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakarana, Sahitya, Advaita Vedanta and Mimamsa of any recognized University.
11. M.A.(Sanskrit): B.A. (Sanskrit) or any UG Degree with working knowledge in Sanskrit of any recognized University.
12. M.Sc. (Chemistry): 55% marks in B.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.Sc.(Applied Chemistry) (50% for SC/ST students).
DOCTORAL PROGRAMMES:
1. M.Phil. (Management Studies / Mathematics / Sanskrit / Physics / Computer Science): 55% marks in the respective PG Degree (50% for SC/ST students)
2. Ph.D. (Full time/Part time) in Faculty of Engg., Science, Management Studies, Sanskrit and Indian Culture, Commerce, Arts and Humanities: 55% marks in the concerned PG Degree (50% for SC/ST students)
UG PROGRAMMES:
1. B.E (CSE / ECE / EEE / Mech / Civil / Electronics & Instrumentation / Btech. (IT) (Full Time):
i. A pass in +2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
ii. Desirable score in the entrance exam of SCSVMV / AIEEE
2. B.E(CSE/ECE/EEE/Mech) and BTech (IT) (Lateral Entry) (Direct entry to second year): Any B.Sc Degree with an aggregate of 60% marks with Mathematics as one of the subject or A pass in Diploma in Engineering in the respective subject or equivalent.
3. B.E(EEE/Mech/ ECE) (Part time): Diploma in Engineering with 2 years of experience in industry.
4. B.Ed (Tamil, English, Maths, Physical Science, Biological Science, History, Commerce, Computer Science). Atleast 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and / or in Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline (45% marks for SC/ST students).
5. B.L.I.S.(Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences): Any Degree with 50% of marks.
6. Sastry (B.A) (Sanskrit) Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakarana, Sahitya, Advaita Vedanta and Mimamsa. A pass in +2 or equivalent examination or Prak Sastri from any recognized Board / University.
7. B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery approved by CCIM): A pass in +2 or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) and desirable score in the test conducted by SCSVMV University.
8. B.Sc.(Hons) in Mathematics/ Physics/Chemistry: A pass in +2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
9. B.Sc. (Physical Education): A pass in +2 or equivalent
10. B.C.A., B.Sc. Computer Science: 10+2 or Equivalent Examination from Board of School Education
ADMISSION:
For B.E. Degree Course:
Admission is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the prescribed subjects, in the qualifying examination [i.e. for HSC Academic: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and normalizing them by the prescribed procedure. Equal weightage will be given to all the three prescribed subjects. Wherever separate marks for practicals are awarded, the same will be considered along with the respective subjects, for arriving at the total actual marks and hence the ‘normalized marks’. 90% of weightage will be given to +2 Marks and 10% of weightage will be given to test. The test comprises of 90 multiple choice questions 30 from mathematics, 30 from physics and 30 from chemistry. For Candidates Applying for Admission to B.E. Degree course through AIEEE
Admission for Candidates applying to B.E Degree course through AIEEE, will be based on the actual merit marks secured by them in “AIEEE” -2012 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination), and a separate merit list prepared for them. For such Candidates, the normalization procedure is not applicable. For AIEEE candidates There won't be any further Exam. Display of Merit List
