Admission notice to the B.Ed. Course (2012-2013)
(N.C.T.E. Approved)




Applications from graduate (preferably with Honours and /or Master degree) candidates in a (10+2+3) pattern (except deputed category) in prescribed forms obtainable from the University Sales Counter from 13.2.2012 on payment of Rs.50/-and Rs. 25/-(twenty five) for SC/ST/PH students, are invited for the B.Ed. Course of the academic session 2012-13.

Applicants, both deputed and fresher, must have Bachelor degree and/or Master degree examination (with at least 50% marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to General category,45% marks for Physically Handicapped category & 40% marks for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Categories) of Calcutta University or other recognized University with any two school subjects from the following:1)Bengali 2) English 3) Sanskrit 4) Mathematics 5) History 6) Geography 7) Accountancy and Book Keeping 8) Economics 9) Education 10) Political Science 11) Hindi,12) Urdu and 13) Arabic.

Applications complete in all respects along with attested copies of certificates and testimonials must be submitted to the Office of the Secretary, U.C.A.C., at Shahid Kshudiram Sikshaprangan, 1,Reformatory Street,(Ground floor),Kolkata-700027 on or before 29.2.2012 upto 3.00 p.m. on all working days.

Provisional merit list will be published on 16.4.2012 after 3.00 pm.


Only one seat is allotted for each of the following subjects: i.e. Bengali, English , History and Education for students of OTHER UNIVERSITY.


Age limit: 40 years for Fresher Candidates and 45 years for Deputed candidates as on
30.6.2012.


There is a relaxation of age for maximum of 5(five) years for students belonging to
Scheduled Caste ,Schedule Tribe and Physically Handicapped categories.


Selection will be made strictly as per University norms. Names of the selected candidates will be walled up in the Notice Board duly. No individual intimation will be given.

Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe applicants from the other states will not get the
reservation facilities of S.C./S.T.


Names of the selected candidates who will fail to report on 1st July 2012 and who will remain absent continuously for fifteen days without prior information will be automatically struck off.
