OFFERS 2 YEAR & 3 YEAR POST GRADUATE PROGRAM
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (MSIT)
in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University to provide world class IT Education.
Selection Process:
MSIT took its inception in the year 2001 and is currently offered at IIIT and JNTUH, School of Information Technology, Hyderabad. MSIT follows ‘Learning by Doing” approach with Project Centered Curriculum aimed at producing employable IT professionals for the Industry.
The selection process into MSIT consists of following stages
Stage I - Graduate Aptitude Test
Stage II - Listening Comphrension and Counseling
Stage III - Preparatory Course
Stage - I
Stage I consists of Graduate Aptitude Test (GAT) which is a Computer Based Test.
Eligibility:
2 Year MSIT
B.Tech / B.E (All branches) or Equivalent Degree / Post Graduates in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics or MCA.
3 Year MSIT
B.Sc (Mathematics/Computer Science/IT)/BCA or Equivalant Degree.
Eligible candidates can apply for GAT entrance test in the following ways:-

The eligible candidates can either avail one or both the modes to apply for the Entrance Test. However the best of the scores in all the attempts will be taken into consideration for final ranking.
Walk-in Entrance Test:
Eligible candidates can apply for walk-in Entrance Test at Eduquity Career Technologies PVT LTD, 403, 4th Floor, Myhome Sarovar Plaza, Secretariat road, Hyderabad-500063, Ph: 040-23243010, and take the exam on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week from 19th April 2012 to 23rd May 2012 Walk-in entrance test can be taken multiple times, but a time gap of 30 days should be there between any two successive attempts. For every attempt a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft of Rs.700, drawn in favour of “CIHL”,on any scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad has to be paid at the exam center (Eduquity).
Regular Entrance Test
Regular Entrance Test is conducted from 24-05-2012. Candidates can apply for this test online (Please see "How to Apply" ) and send a Demand Draft of Rs.700, drawn in favour of “CIHL”, on any scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad, to the address given below.

Stage - II
Candidates qualifying in Stage-I will be called for Stage-II of the entrance test, consisting of Listening Comprehension and counseling. Candidates qualifying the Listening Comprehension will be called for counselling on the same day (Listening Comprehension Exam is exempted for the eligible candidates with qualifying TOEFL Score).
Stage - III
Candidates qualifying in Stage I & II will join the Preparatory Course for eight weeks.
In the Preparatory course, students are required to assemble their own PCs, install hardware and software, troubleshoot their PCs when required, C programming and learn the basics of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HTML). It also includes preparing a Business plan and Soft Skills.
Only the eligible candidates clearing the Preparatory course will be allowed to continue with the MSIT programme. Candidates not clearing the Preparatory course will have to leave the programme.
How to Apply
The candidate can apply for either of the tests or both as mentioned below:-

Walk-in Entrance test:
Apply at Eduquity Career Technologies PVT LTD, 403, 4th Floor, Myhome Sarovar Plaza, Secretariat road, Hyderabad-63, Ph: 040-23243010 with a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 700/- from a nationalised bank drawn in favour of 'CIHL', payable at Hyderabad. If the candidate is satisfied with scores which he/she got through Walk-in Entrance then he/she can take regular entrance test which will be conducted from 24-05-2012, he/she needs to apply online (should take another DD for Rs. 700/-) . However the best of the scores would be considered for final ranking.
The walk-in entrance will be conducted from 19th April on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week upto 23-05-2012.
Regular Entrance test:
The regular entrance test will be conducted from 24-05-2012 onwards. Candidates applying for this test have to submit the Application in either of the following two modes.
1. After applying online, send a nonrefundable crossed D.D of Rs. 700, drawn in favor of "CIHL", on any scheduled bank payable at Hydrabad by speed post only to the address given below.

2. By sending filled Printed / Downloaded applications accompanied by a non refundable crossed DD for Rs 700/- drawn in favour of "CIHL", on any scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad by speed post only to the address given below.

Note:
Those candidates who have GRE score over 1100 in Verbal, Quantitative sections and over 3.5 in Analytical Writing can Apply Online for Stage II of the Entrance Test directly. (GRE should have been taken after July 2009). For candidates who have taken GRE after August 2011, the equivalent new scores are considered.
Those candidates with TOEFL score above 79/120(IBT) would be exempted from taking the Listening Comprehension test in Stage II of the entrance test. (TOEFL should have been taken after July 2010)
Last date for submission of completed application forms is 14-05-2012.
