B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MSc/ MCA Admission Notification 2012-2013
Applications have been invited by Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT), Sambalpur University for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2012-13:
BTech (Computer Science & Engineering)
BTech (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
MSc (Bioinformatics)
MSc (Electronics)
MSc (Computer Science)
MCA (Master in Computer Application)
MTech (Computer Science)
MTech (Embedded Systems Design)
ELIGIBILITY :
BTech (ECE & CSE) :
1. The candidates should have a valid OJEE 2012 / AIEEE 2012 / IIT JEE 2012 score.
2. The candidates should have secured at least 60% in aggregate in 12th Standard/+2 Science with subjects Physics and Mathematics.
3. 5% relaxations in qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
MSc (BIOINFORMATICS) :
Any Science / Engineering / Medical or Allied Science Graduate passed as a regular student securing at least 45%marks.
MSc (ELECTRONICS) :
(i) BSc Hons. in Physics / Electronics /Computer Science with Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics / Chemistry / Computer Science as Pass subject, or
(ii) BSc / BE / BTech in Electronics / Information Technology / Electrical Engg. and Allied subjects.
(iii) Pass Science Graduate with at least 45% marks in aggregate and having any two subjects mentioned in (i) above.
MSc (COMPUTER SCIENCE) :
Candidates having passed in regular mode in :
Either BSc (Hons.) with honours in one of the following subjects. Computer Sc, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Statistics or Information Technology and aggregate 50%. OR
BCA with 50% and having Mathematics at +2 level with 50% having one of the above subjects as Core. OR
BSc (PASS) with one of the following subject as core - Computer Sc, Mathematics, Physics, electronics, statistics or Information Technology and having Mathematics at +2 level and aggregate 50% OR BE / BTech.
MCA :
Candidates having passed in regular mode in :
Either BSc (Hons.) with First class in one of the following subjects. Computer Sc, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Statistics or Information Technology. OR
BCA with 60% in aggregate having Mathematics at +2 level having one of the Computer Sc, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Statistics or Information Technology subjects as Core. OR
BSc (PASS) with 60% in aggregate having one of the following subjects as Core - Computer Sc, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Statistics or Information Technology and having Mathematics at +2 level. OR
BE / BTech in any discipline with 60% in aggregate.
MTech (COMPUTER SCIENCE) :
Candidates having passed in regular mode in :
BE / BTech Programme with a first class
MSc (Mathematics / Physics / Statistics / Electronics / Computer Sc. / IT) with a first class
MCA with a first class
MTech (EMBEDDED SYSTEMS DESIGN) :
First Class BE / BTech or First Class MSc (Electronics), MSc (C.S), MSc (I.T) or First Class MCA student who have completed the course as a regular student only.
SPONSORED CANDIDATES : In addition to the eligibility criteria for the course, Teachers of university / colleges having at least two years teaching experience or working professional with at least three years of experience are eligible under the sponsored quota.
APPLICATION FORMS :
The Application Form can be obtained through any of the following ways :
a. In person : Admission Application Form can be obtained at UCO Bank, Katapali (Jyoti Vihar Campus) on all working days during office hours by paying Rs. 450. Challan forms are available at UCO Bank.
b. By downloading : Admission Application Form can be downloaded from www.suiit.ac.in. Payment of Rs. 450 can be done at the time of submission of completed application form.
All types of fees prescribed in the prospectus must be deposited as Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, SUIIT, Sambalpur University payable at UCO Bank, Katapali (Code Number - 710) or SBI, Jyoti Vihar Branch (Code Number – 6672).
Completed forms are to be attached with the following documents :
a. Attested copies of the Mark sheets and Certificates of all examinations starting from HSC.
b. Two attested recent passport size colored photographs of the candidate.
c. The envelope containing the application complete in all respect must be superscribed “Application for Admission in ______________ course, SUIIT, Sambalpur University.
d. Two self-addressed (own address) envelopes of size 4’’ X 10”.
e. Applicants for BTech courses have to submit OJEE/ AIEEE/IIT JEE Score card,
f. Applicants for MCA have to submit OJEE or equivalent other State Score card.
g. Original Bank-transaction counterfoil of purchase of Admission Application Form.
h. In case of downloaded application form, DD for Re. 450.00 in favour of SUIIT, Sambalpur University
payable at SBI, Jyoti Vihar branch (code no – 6672).
i. Those programs for which there is an Entrance Test (MSc. and MTech) must submit additional Entrance Test Fee in the form of DD for Re. 400.00 drawn in favour of the SUIIT, Sambalpur University and payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti Vihar Branch (Code No. 6672).
j. For candidates seeking reservation under SC/ST category- An attested copy of the Caste from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Deputy Collector or MLA or MP or DWO, in absence of which the candidate will not be eligible
k. For candidates seeking reservation under PH category- An attested copy of the certificate from CDMO regarding disability of 50% or more.
Duly filled applications can be submitted at SUIIT office till 5pm on or before June 20, 2012.
