A. Admission through Entrance Test

M.A/M.Sc/M.Com/LLM/M.Pharma/M.C.A/MSWin various subjects in Schools of Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Arts, Communication and Languages, Education, Law, Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Commerce. (Visit the university website www.hnbgu.ac.in for the list of subjects(courses and eligibility/ qualification).

P.G. Diploma Program (2 Semesters): Advanced Environmental Economics, Company Administration, BusinessAdministratioa Journalism & Mass Communication.Tourism and Elementary Hotelieritig, Yogic Science, Human Rights& Value Education. Bachelor Degree: Hotel Management and Catering Technology (6 Semesters), B. Pharma (4 years), B.P.Ed. (1 year) and B.Lib. (1 year); LLB (6 Semesters), B.Tech. (Lateral Entry), B.Pharma. (Lateral Entry).

M.Phil.: English; Environmental Plant Biology.

Ph.D :VariouS subjects in School of Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences,' Humanities & Social 'Sciences, Arts communication and Languages, Education, Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Commerce, Management (Visit the university website for the list of subjects and eligibility/ qualification) (NET/SLET/UGC Teacher Fellow and M.Phil, of this University are exempted from entrance test; but they have to apply on prescribed form before due date).

Centres for Entrance Test: Dehradun, Pauri, Roorkee, Srinagar-Garhwal, Tehri, Haldwani, New Delhi and Lucknow. TheUniversity reserves the right to cancel any of the centers if sufficient numbers of applicants are not available. .

General Information. 

A candidate can appear in Entrance Test for P.G. program in three subjects. Candidates applying for more than one PG programs need to apply separately in application form along with the prescribed fee. For admission in practical oriented subjects, candidate should have studied the subject in graduation. Candidates appearing in the final qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. '

B. Admission based on Merit of All India Tests: (Candidates under this category are also required to fill up the prescribed application form before the due date): MBA and MBA(Tourism) based on valid MAT Score, B.Tech. (Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology) based onAIEEE-2012Score.

Last date for the receipt of filled-in application forms 23.06.2012

Dates of Entrance Test 18.07.2012 to 21.07.2012

How to apply: 

(1) Application forms can be obtained in person from the cash counter of the University; OR by post from the Office of The Coordinator, Entrance Test, Administrative Block, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar(Garhwal) 246174, Uttarakhand, with the bank proof (bank receipt/counter foil in original) of prescribed fee and a self addressed envelope (size 30cm x 22cm). Request for application must be superscribed on the envelope "Request for application form for admission 2012 (Course Name)". 

(2) Application Form(s) can also be downloaded from the University website, which can be senUo the University with the proof of deposited prescribed fee.

Application-cum-Examination Fee: Rs. 500/- (Rs 250/-for SC/ST/PH) for M.Phil/Ph.D and Rs 250/- (Rs 150/-for SC/ST/PH) for other programs. Add Rs. 50/-, if application form is requested by post.
