ADMISSION NOTICE – 2012-13

B.ED SPECIAL EDUCATION (MENTAL RETARDATION)

FULL TIME (1 YEAR) SEMESTER BASED)

The National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped, Regional Centre, New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invites applications for admission to B.Ed Special Education (Mental Retardation) course for the academic year 2012-13.

The course is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector – 16 C, Dwarka, Delhi and is recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India. The course is designed to impart the students, knowledge & skills, to enable them to deliver Special Education to the persons with mental retardation, the course will be conducted by NIMH, Regional Centre, Lajpat Nagar – II, New Delhi –110024.

Number of seats: 25. Out of total 85% seats will be offered to candidates from Delhi and 15 % seats from Outside Delhi.

Duration: The duration of the course is 01 academic year (Semester based)

Eligibility: The minimum requirement for the candidates seeking admission to this B.Ed Course is B.A/B.Sc./B.Com or an equivalent degree at graduate level from recognized university. The eligibility for admission is minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST/Def./ PH) 

Age Limit: The Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age as on 01.08.2012.

Information Brochure: Information Brochure with the application form can be obtained from NIMH, RC New Delhi (can be downloaded from our website www.nimhindia.org) from 23.8.2012 to 10.9.2012 on all working days between 10 A.M to 5 P.M on payment of Rs.500/- for General/OBC category & Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PH candidates by Demand Draft in favour of the NIMH Regional Centre, New Delhi.
