Applications
have been invited by ER&DCI Institute of Technology, C-DAC Campus,
Vellayambalam, Thiruvananthapuram - 695033, Kerala for admission to MTech
(Computer Science with Specialization in Cyber Forensics and Information
Security) of Academic Year 2012-13.
ER&DCI-IT
is the manpower development and training arm of Centre for Development of
Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram, an autonomous institution
wholly owned by Department of Electronics and Information Technology,
Government of India.The Centre, formerly known as Electronics Research &
Development Centre of India (ER&DCI), is engaged in a variety of research,
design and development activities in advanced areas of Electronics. Since its
inception in 1974, the Centre has acquired high competency, expertise and
experience in the areas of VLSI - ASIC, Embedded Systems, Control &
Instrumentation, Networking, Broadcast & Communications, Power Electronics,
Cyber-Forensics, Language Technologies, etc. with extensive on-site deployment
of its technology outputs, and Transfer-of-Technologies for manufacture of the
products developed.
The
campus at Vellayambalam, in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city was formally
dedicated to the nation on 10th November 1980, as a National Centre of
Excellence by Smt. Indira Gandhi,
then
Prime Minister of India. ER&DCI-IT was started in 2001 with a mission to
groom and nurture internationally competitive professionals, empowering them
with state-of-the-art skill sets in Electronics, Communications and IT.
Affiliated
to the nationally renowned Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT)
and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), the Institute
has a well organized team of faculty members, highly qualified and with a track
record of achievements; with eminent contributions in their fields. Besides,
distinguished Guest Lecturers enhance the student’s knowledge and practical
design skills. Other facilities include well-equipped, air conditioned class
rooms and hardware laboratories with advanced facilities, including full-time
high-speed Internet access. The technical library has more than 25,000 books,
periodicals, reports and e-documents etc. to enable students, keep abreast with
the latest developments.
Eligibility for
M.Tech in Cyber Forensics & Information Security:
B.E/B.Tech
degree in Electronics & Communications/ Electronics & Instrumentation/
Computer Science/ Information Technology of a recognized University, with a
minimum of 60% marks.
Batch Strength :
Eighteen seats.
SELECTION:
Admission
is based on valid GATE Score. For remaining unfilled seats, if any,
Departmental Admission Test (DAT) is conducted and admission will be on the basis
of the DAT rank list.
Duration : Four
Semesters.

print out of the filled application form has to be posted to the following
address along with the fee of Rs.1000/- in the form of DD in favour of
'ER&DCI Institute of Technology', payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Mode of payment:
All
cash payments are to be made to 'ER&DCI-IT' through Syndicate Bank, C-DAC

Thiruvananthapuram, using the prescribed Challan Form available at ERDCI-IT
Office and the receipt will have to be given to the ERDCI-IT Office.
Alternatively, payments may be made by crossed Demand Draft in favour of
'ER&DCI Institute of Technology', payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Last
date for submission of application is 25-09-2012.
