ELIGIBILITY:
For
all the above three programs minimum 3 year Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in
any discipline, with at lest 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized University/
Deemed University. Final year degree students, completing their final
examinations by June 15, 2013, can also apply.
Admission Test: For PGDM and
PGDM-HRM, all applicants are required to appear for any one of the following
tests:
a)
XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 6 January, 2013, or
b)
CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 11 October - 6 November 2012.
for
PGDM – RM, all applicants are required to appear for any one of the following
tests:
XAT-2013,
or b) CAT-2012, or c) IRMA Test to be conducted by institute of Rural
Management, Anand on November 11, 2012. Applicants have to follow XAT/ CAT/
IRMA advertisements respectively and apply in time, before separately applying
to XIMB.

XIMB
uses CAT for shortlising candidates for its full time PG Programmes in
Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct
of the programmes.
XAT
is also used by XIMB for short listing candidates for its full time PG programmes
in Managemnet, XLRI or IRMA has no role in the selection process or in the
conduct of the programmes.

is no paper-based application form for seeking admission to XIMB.
Application

Programme in Management
Eligibility
Post-graduates
in any discipline (or professional field) related to management with at least
55% marks (or working graduate engineers with at least 55% marks, having at
least 2 years of work experience) are eligible to apply for the full-time FPM.
In case the score is available on a letter-grade system, the Institute expects
a minimum cumulative score of 4.80 on an 8-point scale (or 6.00 on a 10-point
scale). Although the eligibility is defined in these terms, the Institute
prefers applicants who have excellent academic record as well as rich
managerial experience.
Admission
Process
In
an academic year, we offer admission to about 5 candidates.
The
applicant must write any one of the following written tests: CAT, UGC NET, XAT,
GATE*, or the XIMB Research Aptitude Test (XIMB-RAT). For the purpose of FPM
admission valid CAT, GATE* and XAT scores will be considered. XIMB-RAT will be
conducted only at Bhubaneswar. Detailed guidelines about the written test are

Based
on their performance in the written test as well as their academic and
professional achievements, a selected group of applicants will be invited to
our campus at Bhubaneswar for an assessment of their research aptitude and
preparedness for taking up doctoral-level work in management. All the invited applicants
will be offered local hospitality, but no travel allowance.
*GATE
score is considered for admission in Operations Management & Decision
Sciences and Information Systems areas only.
Applicants
have to apply (online) for XIMB's Fellow Programme in Management at: www.ximb.ac.in . Upon successfully filling up the online
Application Form the Payment Advice Form can be downloaded. The applicant must
take a printout of the same Payment Advice Form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of
Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee
(non-refundable) in one of the following ways:
1. Use the Payment Gateway link available on
the XIMB online application page to pay the relevant application fee (those
applying via multiple tests/programs can pay the total amount in a single
transaction) through:
a) Net Banking using your account holding
bank’s net banking options (of any bank in India); or
b) Credit / Debit Cards of any bank in India;
or
c) Cash/Cheque deposit using the Bank Challan
generated online (Axis/ICICI bank).
(You
should send to XIMB the PA Form(s) along with a copy of e-receipt / XIMB copy
of duly stamped Bank Challan, as proof of payment.);
OR
2. A Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- made out in favour
of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
On
receipt of the DD or proof of payment via Payment Gateway for the required
amount and the Payment Advice Form, the Bulletin 2013 will be mailed to the
applicant. The last date for applying online is December 15, 2012.
The
acceptance of the XIMB application registered online will be subject to the
receipt of the application fee and the completed Payment Advice Form by XIMB.
Upon receipt of the payment the eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail
about the acceptance of their applications.
