Online
application Open from 3rd October, 2012 to 24th October, 2012 23:59 hrs.
The
Government of India established the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in
1975 with the prime objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education
by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in
modern medicine on an all India basis. The Board at present conducts
postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialties leading to
the award of Diplomate of National Board.
Now
you can submit your application for NBE examinations listed on this page
through online application system. You are advised to go through the
information bulletin for concerned examination available at our website www.natboard.edu.in.

for appearing in the PDCET is to be undertaken online at the website www.natboard.edu.in
Application
forms CANNOT be submitted in offline /printed copy by post.
Online
applications can be accessed and completed till 23:59 hrs on 24thOctober 2012
only.
EXAMINATION
The
POST DIPLOMA CET is an entrance examination for entry to the DNB Broad
Specialty secondary seats. The examination shall be held on 21ST November 2012.
Appearance
in the Post Diploma CETis an essential pre-requisite for entry to the DNB Broad
Specialties (Secondary Seats) Jan 2013 admission session.
All
the candidate who appear in the above examination will be given a merit
position (rank) based on the descending order of the marks obtained by them in
the above examinations. The merit list shall be published specialty wise (merit
list for DGO, DMRD,DMRT,DORTHO, DOMS, DLO, DA, DVD, DPM, DCH, DNM, DTCD,DPMRDCPetc.
shall be published separately).
Candidates
successful in the Post Diploma CET shall be asked to participate in a
Centralized counseling conducted by National Board of Examinations for
allotment of DNB secondary seat at NBE accredited
Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their Specialty merit and
shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution/hospital/medicalcollege
of their choice as per availability at their merit.

ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA FOR PDCET–JANUARY 2013 ADMISSION SESSION
Candidates
who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate
Diploma from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of
Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Govt of India i.e. have passed/Passing the
final examinations for Post graduate diploma on or before 31 December 2012 can
apply for the Post diploma CETexamination in same Broad specialty.
A
proof to this effect has to be produced at the time of Counseling for admission
to January 2013 admission session.
Submission
of proof of having passed/Passing the Post graduate diploma final examination
on or before the 31.12.2012 at the time of counseling is an essential
pre-requisite. In case the candidate does not submit requisite proof of passing
his/her post graduate diploma final examination, the candidate shall not be
allowed to participate in the merit based Counseling
Candidates
found to be ineligible at any stage of PDCET will not be permitted to appear in
the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing
and/or being successful in the PDCET, the results/candidature of such candidate
shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.
Requests
for appearing in PDCET from candidates who are qualifying and getting their
results of the basic eligibility qualification after 31st December 2012 shall
be summarily rejected.
Candidate
who are qualifying and getting their results after 31st December 2012 or likely
to qualify after 31st December 2012 need not apply in the PDCET exam as they
shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.
Candidates
already pursuing a MD/MS/DNB course are not eligible to appear for the PDCET
till such time they have completed the duration of prescribed course or have
been discharged from the course.
Registration
and /or appearance in PDCET do not confer any automatic rights upon the
candidate for admission at NBE accredited hospital / institute.
Registration
with M.C.I./State Medical Council/ is necessary and its documentary proof
should be furnished at the time of counseling.

The

Kindly
note that separate challan/pay-in-slip is to be used for each type of payment
Banks are permitted to levy transaction charges for the above as follows:
Indian
Bank - Rs. 30/- per Challan
AxisBank
- Rs. 70/- per Challan
Fees
by any other means than specified above shall not be accepted & application
form of such candidates shall be returned.
Candidates
remaining absent from the examination will forfeit their examination fee.
Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the
terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility criteria before proceeding
for payment of fees.
FEES
SHALL NEITHER BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED FORWARD IF THE APPLICATION FOR PDCET IS
REJECTED/CANDIDATURE IS FOUNDTOBEINELIGIBLE
SCHEMEOFEXAMINATION:
PDCET
is an entrance examination and is an essential pre-requisite for entry to post
diploma DNB 2 years post graduate courses. The next session of entrance
examination shall be held on 21st November 2012 and conducted as computer-based
test only.
The
test comprises 180 multiple choice, single correct response questions of 1 mark
each in English language only as per the following indicative scheme:

The
standard of the examinations shall be at the level of Final MBBS (Exit
Examination)
The
above scheme is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its rights to alter
/vary /amend the same.
Candidates
successful in the PDCET shall participate in a Centralized merit based
counseling conducted by National Board of Examinations for allotment of DNB
seats at NBE accredited Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of
their specialty specific merit and candidate shall be able to opt for the NBE
accredited institution/hospital/medical college of their choice as per
availability at their merit.

candidates can pursue DNB is available at NBE website www.natboard.edu.in
The
examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer
network as per scheme prescribed.
Negative Marking: There shall be no negative
marking.
