Programme
commencing in July 2013
Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) is
a centre of excellence and an intellectual resource base for the plantation and
associated agri-business sector. IIPM’s FPM:ABPM is a unique programme in the
country, aimed at developing effective researchers & creating a pool of
well-trained scholars for research/faculty positions at premier institutions
and industry.
Eligibility:
Post-graduates from any discipline with atleast 55% marks subsequent to a
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification and higher secondary schooling
(10+2) or equivalent. Those who possess professional qualifications such as CA,
ICWA and CS that are considered equivalent to a postgraduate degree and have
atleast 55% marks are also eligible. Candidates possessing valid scores in
CAT/GMAT/UGC-CSIR-JRF/NET/ICAR-NET are encouraged to apply.
Selection to the programme would be based on
applicants’ performance in an entrance test and interview. For prospectus,
areas of research, application form and detailed admission process log on to

form is 31st January, 2013.

INSTITUTE
Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM),
centre of excellence and the first of its kind National Institute, was
established at the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry,
Government of India. It is co-promoted by the Commodity Boards of India, viz.,
Coffee Board, Rubber Board, Tea Board, Spices Board and Plantation Industry
Associations. IIPM has been conceived as a world renowned academic institution
focusing in the field of plantation & associated agri-business and
commodity management education. The Institute has Membership with International
Accreditation Agency, AACSB.
AIM
IIPM focuses on creating a unique talent pool of
plantation and agri-business professionals and provide career opportunities and
career advancement in Agri- Business, Commodity and Plantation Management.
PEDAGOGY
PGDM-ABPM (approved by AICTE) offers a range of
sector-specific courses to meet the requirements of industry.The classroom
sessions are supplemented with lecture, video, seminar, group work, role-play,
cup tasting (sensory test), field & industrial visit, study abroad and
guest lecture.
DURATION
24 months residential programme commencing July
2013.

Placement record has been bright and attractive.

ELIGIBILITY
50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in
graduation.
Candidates appearing in final year exams in March
/April 2013 are also eligible to apply. NRI /PIO/Foreign students can also
apply.
ADMISSION
& SELECTION
All graduates, including graduates of agricultural
and allied disciplines, with valid CAT / MAT / ATMA / CMAT scores can apply.
Selection will be on the basis of academic record, test scores, writing skill,
group discussion and personal interview.
RESERVATION
The Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates
is applicable as per the Government of India rules, subject to meeting the
other eligibility criteria for admission.
SCHOLARSHIP
Meritorious Scholarships from the Ministry of
Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of
Minority Affairs, Government of India. State Government Scholarships for OBC
Students.
