Programme (JAP) with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Physics
in Biology Programme with the National Centre for Biological Sciences,
Bangalore.
WHO ARE
ELIGIBLE
Candidates must have a first class MSc degree in
Physics or Chemistry or a first class B.E./ B.Tech degree in Engineering.
Students who expect to complete their final degree in the academic year
2012-2013 may also apply. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per
norms.
SELECTION
PROCEDURE
The selection of candidates for the PhD program is
based on the performance in the interviews to be held at RRI, Bangalore around
second week of June 2013. There are about 17 vacancies in physics and 1 in
chemistry.
FOR PHYSICS:
candidates are selected for interview based on
(a) Their performance in the Joint Entrance
Screening Test 2013 (JEST-2013). These students need not apply separately to
RRI. JEST-2013 will be held on Sunday February 17, 2013 from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00
