The
National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH) is a registered society
established in ihe year 1984 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social
Justice & Empowerment Government o( India. The Institute is an apex body
having tripartite functions of training, research and services in the field of mental
retardation in the country. Since past 29 years, the institute has been making
sinking advances in building capacities to empower persons with Mental
Retardation.

BSc.(HLS), PGDEI. Masters in Child Development, M.Phil in Psychology. The
candidate should have secured 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree
examination In case of general candidates and 45% marks in case of SC and ST
candidates.

'Reservation
for SC'STVOBC as per rules. The number of seats may increase based on the
decision of RCl, New Delhi for supernumerary seats for OBC category.
The
Application -cum-prospectus can be obtained from the In charge, Academics,
NIMH. Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad-500 009 or can be downloaded from the Institute
website as given above.
Note:
The hard copy of the application duly filled in with specified demand draft
shall be submitted by post before the due date. Application without demand
draft and copies of certificates will not be entertained. Application received
after the due date will not be considered. The decision ol the Institute is
final in this regard.

be obtained from the Office of Assistant Administrative Officer (TP&S),
National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Manovikas Nagar,
Secunderabad-500009, Andhra Pradesh in person or by post by submitting demand
draft in favour of Director, NIMH, Secunderabad for the required fee.
Cost of application for
M.Phil in Special Education (MR), MDRA, MSc DS (EI), PGDEI, MEd Special
Education (MR), BEd Special Education (MR) is Rs 1000/- for general/OBC
category and Rs 600/- for SC / ST / PH category
Last date for submission of application for the above courses
is 14th June, 2013
Cost of application for
DECSE (MR), DVR (MR), DCBR is Rs 250/- for general / OBC, and Rs. 150/- for SC
/ ST / PH category
Last date for submission of application is 24th June 2013.
Candidates may also
submit the form by downloading the application from the website
http://www.nimhindia.org along with demand draft in favour of Director, NIMH,
Secunderabad for the required fee.
