DETAILED NOTICE FOR ADMISSION TO MBBS/BDS COURSE-2013-14
Applications
on prescribed Application Forms are invited from the eligible candidates for admission
to MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges including Private Dental
Colleges (State Quota) in Himachal Pradesh for the academic session 2013-14 on
the basis of HP State merit of NEET-(UG)-2013 conducted by the CBSE for which
the prospectus will be available from 17.06.2013 to 02.07.2013 at the H.P.University
Counter at Shimla. The cost of Prospectus is Rs.1000/- for General & other
categories and Rs.500/-for SC/ST categories. The Application Form along with text
of the Prospectus is also available on the University Website www.hpuniv.nic.in or www.hpuniv.in
and Director Medical Education &
Research, H.P. Website www.hp.gov.in/hpdmer.
and the candidates can also apply on the
downloaded Application Form along with fee of Rs.1000/- for General & other
categories and Rs.500/-for SC/ST categories in the shape of Bank Draft drawn in
favour of the Finance Officer, H.P.University, Shimla. The Children of Jammu
& Kashmir Migrants and Children of Tibetan Refugees can also apply on the
prescribed Application Form for their reserved seats on the basis of the merit
of NEET(UG)-2013. NRI Candidates may also apply on Application Form prescribed
for them along with required documents and requisite fee of 50 US $ or
equivalent in rupees direct to the Principals of the concerned Medical/Dental

Last date for receipt of Application Forms complete in all
respect either by hand or registered/Speed-Post in the office of the Deputy
Registrar (Entrance Tests) H.P.University, Shimla-5, is 5.7.2013 upto 5.P.M.
whereafter no application shall be entertained.

candidate is 10.7.2013. The candidates other than HP State merit of NEET-UG-2013
can also apply for Management Quota in Private Dental Colleges.
ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA
1. For State Quota Seats Children of Bonafide
Himachali/Himachal Govt.
Employees and Employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly
or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Govt. will only be eligible to
apply for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses through Counselling on the basis of
State merit of NEET(UG)-2013 in Government Medical/Dental Colleges including
50% State Quota seats in Private unaided Dental Colleges situated in Himachal
Pradesh. They should have passed atleast two of the following examinations from
the recognized schools or colleges situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh
and affiliated to ICSE/CBSE/HP Board of School Education or equivalent
Boards/Universities established by law in India:-
(a) Middle or equivalent(b) Matric or equivalent
(c) 10+1 or equivalent (d) 10+2 or equivalent.
2. The Bonafide Himachali students who are admitted
to Navodya Schools situated in Himachal Pradesh and who have passed matric or
+2 examinations under the exchange programme from other Navodya Schools in the
Country shall also be eligible for admission to the above courses.
3. Following categories of candidates are exempted
from the condition of passing atleast two examinations from recognized schools
situated in Himachal Pradesh and affiliated to ICSE/CBSE/HP Board of School
Education provided that the candidates of these categories should be Bonafide
Himachali and their parents are living outside Himachal Pradesh on account of
their service/posting/private occupation. In such cases, non-schooling in
Himachal Pradesh shall not debar them from competing against any of the seats
whether reserved or otherwise (except backward area seats):-
(i)
Children of Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen.
(ii) Children of serving/retired Employees of
Central Government/UT/Other State Governments and Children of Employees of the
Autonomous Organization/Semi Government Bodies of Central Government/UT/Other
State Governments.
(iii) Children of employees of Himachal Pradesh
Government/H.P. Government Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies wholly owned by H.P.
Govt. (iv) Children of employees of Private Sector/Private occupation.
Note: The candidates claiming exemption from
passing two examination from the schools situated in Himachal Pradesh under the
category (iv) mentioned above, should have passed their schooling from the
schools situated in the place/station where their parents are residing.
4.. For Management Quota Seats( only in Private
Un-aided Dental Colleges):
Under this quota, there will be no domicile and
schooling conditions, both Himachali and non- Himachali interested candidates
who qualified NEEG-(UG)-2013 can also apply for admission on prescribed
application form subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualifications
and age as given.
5. For Children of J&K Migrants and Children of
Tibetan Refugees: Who possess the minimum educational qualifications and age
can also apply for their reserved seats on the prescribed Application Form on
the basis of the merit of NEET(UG)- 2013 and age as given.
6. For NRI Candidates: Who are residing abroad and
have passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) from abroad and
possess the minimum educational qualifications and age as given can apply on
the application form prescribed for them direct to the Principal(s) of the
concerned Medical/Dental College(s).
AGE &
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Age: The candidate should have already
completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25
years of age on 31st December, 2013.
(ii) Educational Qualifications: The candidate
should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination of a University/Board
established by law in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology
and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken
together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology of the qualifying
examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled
Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the percentage of marks obtained in Physics,
Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology take together in qualifying examinations
is 40% instead of 50% as prescribed for General candidates. Further for persons
for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General PH
and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
Note: It will be the entire responsibility of the
candidate(s) to procure the prospectus well in time and submit the application
form complete in all respect within the stipulated date i.e. 5.7.2013 to the
Deputy Registrar (Ent.Tests) H.P.University, Shimla-5. The University will not
be responsible for any postal delay for non-receipt the application form within
the stipulated period on account of wrong postal address or otherwise.
