ADMISSION TO THE M.TECH  DEGREE COURSES – 2013 - 2014

Courses Offered :-

1.    M.Tech – Computer Science & Engineering

2.    M.Tech – VLSI & Embedded Systems

3.    M.Tech – Power Electronics & Power System.

4.    M.Tech - Communication Engineering

Cost of Application form is Rs.500/- or Rs.550/- by post. A DD for Rs.500/- in favour of Adi Sankara Trust, payable at Kalady or Angamaly is to be submitted along with downloaded application forms. Application forms should reach the Principal’s office on or before 5^th July 2013.

Eligibility :

a.    Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course in sufficient.

b.    Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6^th semester exam. Such candidates shall submit self-attested copies of all mark lists up to 6^th semester along with the application.

c.     Admission is normally on the basis of valid GATE score. But this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates.

d.    In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates without valid GATE score will be considered.

e.     Stipend @ Rs.8000/- per month from the ACITE is allowed for students with valid GATE score.

f.      Rank list of the students applied at the institution will be prepared and published on the basis of GATE score and the B.Tech marks. The list will be available at college notice board & website.

Selection of Candidates :-

a.    Selection of candidates will be based on the GATE score. In case of tie, advantage will be given to the candidates who secure highest aggregate marks up to 6^th semester in their qualifying examination.

b.    If sufficient GATE qualified candidates are not available, the selection will be made from Keralite candidates based on the aggregate marks up to 6^th semester in their qualifying examination.

Liquidated Damages :-

a.    The candidates who obtain admission and discontinue studies after the date specified as per the schedule are liable to pay Rs.30000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Only) plus the tuition fee and special fee for the remaining period of the course as liquidated damages.

b.    Any candidates leaving the institutions after the date notified by DTE , they will be liable to pay liquidated damages.

c.     In all such cases the Transfer Certificate will be issued only after remitting the liquidated damages to the authority concerned. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC are exempted from this rule.
