Master of Science (MSc) Admission Notice 2013-2014

Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur has invited applications for admission to Master of Science (MSc) Course for the session 2013-2014.

Programmes and Eligibility:

Master of Science in Physics:

i) BSc Hons. or equivalent in Physics from a recognized Indian University.

ii) 55% marks in Hons. or equivalent (45% SC / ST candidates) subject with Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects

Master of Science in Chemistry:

i) BSc (Hons.) or equivalent in Chemistry from a recognized Indian University.

ii) 55% marks in Hons. or equivalent (45% SC / ST candidates) subject with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects

Master of Science in Applied Mathematics:

i) BSc (Hons.) or equivalent in Mathematics from a recognized Indian University.

ii) 50% marks in Hons. or equivalent (40% SC / ST candidates) subject

Master of Science in Applied Geology:

BSc (Hons.) or equivalent in Geology from a recognized Indian University.

Or

BSc (Hons or equivalent in any subject with 55% (45% SC / ST candidates) marks in Hons. and Geology as a subsidiary subject with 55% (45% SC / ST candidates) marks from a recognised Indian University.

Masters of Science in Food Processing & Nutrition Science:

i) BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Chemistry / Physiology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Food and Nutrition Science / Genetics from a recognized Indian University.

ii) 55% (45% SC / ST candidates) marks in Hons.or equivalent Subject.

iii) Chemistry as one of the Subsidiary subjects. in BSc iv) Mathematics may be one subject in H.S.

Applications:

Login at this site, click on the "MSc Admission" link in the left column to fill up the online application and submit the form.

After you submit the application form you will be instructed to download Pay-in-Slip (in pdf format, for Rs. 215/- for SC / ST / OBC / PC Candidates and Rs. 515/- for others) created exclusively for that submission. You have to go to any branch of United Bank of India (UBI) in India and deposit the application fee in cash using this pay-in-slip.

Publication of List of applications for which payment is received: 22 July 2013 (Monday)

Publication of Supplementary List of applications for which payment is received: 26 July 2013 (Friday)

Date of Publication of list of candidates to be called for interview: 2 August 2013 (Friday)

Dates of Interview: 12 August - 14 August 2013 (Monday to Wednesday)

Date of Publication of Final Merit List: 20 August 2013 (Tuesday)

Date of Admission: 27 and 29 August 2013 (Tuesday and Thursday)

Date of Commencement of classes: 2 September 2013 (Monday)
