Eligibility:
Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree (from a
recognised university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the
case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%)
Candidates who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA
with basic degree are also eligible to register for MPhil in this category
Candidates who have qualified for Masters Degree
prior to 1990 - 1991, with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register
for MPhil programme
How to
apply:
The candidate should submit his / her application
to the University, in the prescribed form with a DD of 1000/- INR in the favour
of Jain University, payable at Bangalore, along with other necessary documents;
viz., degree certificate, marks cards and such other documents prescribed along
with receipt for having paid the prescribed fee. In case of employed
candidates, no objection / deputation certificate from the employer, for
pursuing research is necessary.

"Synopsis" along with his / her application
•Eligible candidates will be required to take up
M.Phil. Entrance examination comprising an Aptitude Test, a Subject Paper and
an Interview
• Reservations
for SC, ST and other candidates shall be as per extant guidelines of the
Government of India
Evaluation
Candidates shall be awarded pass in M.Phil.
Programme upon:
• Securing
an aggregate of 50% marks in the term end exams, and a minimum of 40% marks in
each subject
• Securing
an aggregate of 50% marks in the Dissertation and a minimum of 40% marks each
in the Thesis and Viva
• Award
of pass grade in the Faculty Skills Development component

to greater employment opportunities as potential employers will be familiar
with your academic qualifications. Career options include, for example, within

Entrance
Test Details
The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration
and for 90 marks and the paper will have two sections:
Section A: General and Research Aptitude (45 marks)
Section B: Subject Aptitude (45 marks)
Both sections will have multiple choice questions
and short answer questions. The syllabus for Section B would be at the Masters
level in the concerned subject.
