Admission Notice for admission to Ph.D. Programme. GADVASU. Ludhiana

Applications on the prescribed forms are
invited from the candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme in the following
disciplines for the academic session 2013-14:-
COLLEGE OF VETERINARY SCIENCE
Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production
Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary
Biochemistry, Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine,
Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology,
Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary
Public Health & Epidemiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology and
Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master's level degree (M.V.Sc.) in the
respective discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks
or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an
OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.V.Sc. & AH. or equivalent
SCHOOL OF ANIMAL BIOTECHNOLOGY: Animal Biotechnology
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master's level degree in Animal
Biotechnology/Veterinary Biotechnology/any branch in Veterinary
Science/Biotechnology/Life Sciences and B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.Sc.
(Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/
Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree with a minimum OCPA
of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master's level and with a
minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or
equivalent at Bachelor's level.
COLLEGE OF FISHERIES: Aquaculture
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master's level degree (M.F.Sc.) in respective
discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or
equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an
OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.F.Sc. or equivalent
SCHOOL OF ANIMAL BIOTECHNOLOGY:
Animal Biotechnology
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A
Master's level degree in Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Biotechnology/any
branch in Veterinary Science/Biotechnology/Life Sciences and B.V.Sc. & A.H.
or B.Sc. (Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/
Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree with a minimum OCPA
of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master's level and with a

Aquaculture
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A

7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50
(out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.F.Sc. or equivalent
Prospectus
along with application forms can be obtained from the office of Dean, College
of Veterinary Science, GADVASU, Ludhiana-141004 either by sending crossed bank
draft for ?1600/- drawn in favour of Comptroller, GADVASU, Ludhiana, payable at
Ludhiana or personally from the said office on payment of Rs 1500/- at the
counter on all working days from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The Prospectus and
application forms will be sent under registered cover and University will not
be responsible for any postal delay or loss in the transit. The application
form can also be down loaded from University Website.
Application
form complete in all respects alongwith interview fee of Rs 1800/- (Rs 3400/-
for application form downloaded from University website) must reach the office
of the undersigned latest
by 25.11.2013 without late fee and
02.12.2013
with late fee of Rs 1000/-. Incomplete application or those received after the due
date will not be entertained. The in-service candidates are required to apply
