Invites Applications for Ph.D. Programme of

Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) January 2014 Session

CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), a premier research institute of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), invites applications for Ph.D. Programme under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) from eligible candidates.

Eligibility: Ph.D. in Science: Master's degree in Science (Biological/Chemical) having a valid fellowship through National Entrance Test (JRFs of various funding agencies e.g. CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT etc.) or other equivalent fellowships. ICMR Project-JRFs, DBT-Category 'B' JRFs and Masters' in Science with GATE alone and/or NET-LS need not apply. Admission criteria for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped candidates are relaxable as per Government of India rules.

How to Apply: Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply online from September 20, 2013 at http://acsir.res.in.  Online applications will close on October 24, 2013. For more details about application and admission procedures, candidates are requested to visit the website http://acsir.res.in.  

Selection Process: All applications will be screened by a committee. Candidates, found suitable after the screening, will be informed to appear for an interview/counseling at CSIR-IITR. The exact date of aptitude test/interview will be intimated to the short listed candidates and will also be posted on the institute's website. Those appearing for the interview will not be paid any TA/DA. The decision of the committee with regard to the selection of candidates shall be final.
