(Tourism) Admission Notice 2013-2014
Applications are invited by University of Burdwan
for admission to the 2-year M.B.A. (Tourism) Course of Studies (academic
session 2013-2014).
ELIGIBILITY
FOR ADMISSION:
Graduate in Arts, Commerce, Science, and in any
other branches of Social Science in the 10+2+3 mode or Graduate in Engineering,
Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy and Agriculture.
APPLICATIONS:
Applications in prescribed form to be downloaded from the
website www.buruniv.ac.in, from 02.12.2013 to 20.12.2013.
The downloaded application form must accompany a) a
Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred fifty only) in favour of the
“Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan”, payable at State bank of India,
Burdwan University branch, b) Self attested photo copies of mark-sheets of the
relevant examinations and age proof certificate, c) Certificates of S.C./
S.T./O.B.C./P.H., if any, if the candidate intends to claim reservation under
Government rules.
The last date of submission of university form in the office
of the secretary, faculty council (arts, etc.): December 20, 2013.
SELECTION:
Selection of candidates for admission to the MBA
(Tourism) programme will be made on the basis of two-phase admission test. The
first phase includes CMAT /MAT/ CAT / XAT and GMAT conducted by the respective
agencies. The second phase comprises Group Discussion & Viva-voce test to
be conducted by the Department of Tourism Management. Candidates with valid
CMAT/MAT/ CAT / XAT and GMAT scores need to apply for admission and appear
before Group Discussion and Viva - voce. Short listed candidates on the basis
of written test scores of CMAT /MAT/ CAT / XAT and GMAT will be called for
Group Discussion & Viva-voce.
The short list of the candidates selected to appear
for Group Discussion and Viva-voce will be displayed on 24th December 2013 at the Office
of the Secretary, F.C. (Arts) and will also be available on the university
website www.buruniv.ac.in .
Group Discussion & Viva-voce test will be held on 07th
January, 2014.
