The Combined Entrance Examination conducted by
Jawaharlal Nehru University for admission to the Biotechnology Programmes in
the field of Agriculture and Veterinary science, will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm
on May 19, 2014, at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Amritsar,
Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore,
Dehradun, Delhi, Dimapur, Gangtok, Gwalior, Guwahati, Goa, Gorakhpur,
Hyderabad, Secundrabad, Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Katihar,
Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Madurai, Nagpur, Noida, Pant Nagar, Patna,

Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences
& Technology Of Kashmir, Srinagar: Candidates possessing Bachelor’s degree
in Veterinary and Animal Sciences (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) recognised by Veterinary
Council of India with minimum OGPA 6.00/10.00 or equivalent are eligible.
Only those candidates who have passed the qualifying
examination in 2012 or thereafter including those who are appearing in 2014 are
eligible to apply. Those who are due to appear in the respective qualifying
examination prescribed as eligibility for admission shall also be considered
for appearing in the entrance examination subject to the conditions stipulated
in the Prospectus.
Combined Entrance Examination will have a question
paper of three hours duration and will consist of two parts, A and B. Part A
will have multiple choice type questions at the level of 10+2 from Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates will be required to attempt 60
questions each carrying one mark. For each wrong answer, half mark will be
deducted. Part- B will also have multiple choice questions from the syllabus
detailed in Section IV of the Brochure that can be downloaded from www.jnu.ac.in . There will be 100 questions out
of which the candidates will have to attempt 60 questions. Each correct answer
will have a weightage of 3 marks. For each wrong answer, one mark will be
deducted. Previous years’ question papers are available at www.jnu.ac.in .
Examination Fee for General Category Candidates
including OBC Candidates is Rs. 600/-. For SC/ST/PH Category Candidates, it is
Rs. 300/- (PH includes OH, VH and HH). For Foreign Nationals, it is US$ 25.00
or Rs.1550/-. This has to be paid by way of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of
‘Jawaharlal Nehru University’, payable at New Delhi.
Online Application process will commence at 10 a.m on 7th
February, 2014, at http://www.jnu.ac.in/
The issue of offline Application Forms, by Post from JNU will
also start on 7th February, 2014 and the last date for issue of offline
Application Forms by Post is 11th March, 2014. Online Application facility will
cease at 5 p.m on 26th March, 2014.
Offline application completed in all respects should reach
‘Section Officer (Admissions), Room No.28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal
Nehru University, New Delhi-110067’ by Registered Post/Speed Post by 28th
March, 2014. In case of online Application, the printout of the online
application will be accepted at JNU till 2nd April, 2014.
