TANCET 2014

Applications have been invited for the TANCET 2014 to be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 22nd & 23rd March 2014 from candidates who seek admission to 1. M.B.A., 2. M.C.A. and 3. M.E. / M.Tech., / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2014-2015 offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University, Tirunelveli, Govt. Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Govt. Quota seats in self-financing Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges / stand alone Institutions.

ELIGIBILITY:

1. MBA: A pass in any recognised Bachelor's Degree with 10 + 2 + 3/4 years pattern or a pass in any Degree with 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern or B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm degree or AIME with 2 years regular full time Teaching Experience /Industrial experience in the relevant field after passing all the subjects. Candidates should have obtained 50% marks in the degree examinations (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)

2. MCA: A pass in any in any recognised Bachelor's degree with 10 + 2 + 3/4 years pattern, or a pass in 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern with Mathematics at + 2 level  with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates should have obtained 50% marks in the qualifying examinations (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)

3. M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.: Details of the eligibility conditions will available in the website: www.annauniv.edu.

Those who are appearing for final year / semester examination of the above qualifying degree in April / May 2014 can also apply for TANCET 2014.

APPLICATION FEE:

Candidates have to submit only one application for the Entrance Test for all the above PG Programmes.

The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC /SCA/ ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate) as entrance test fee for any one of the Programmes either (1) M.B.A. or (2) M.C.A. or (3) M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./ M.Plan.

If a candidate desires to appear for more than one programme, for every additional programme, he / she has to pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) along with the filled-in application.

REGISTRATION:

The candidates can register for the entrance test in any one of the modes given below.

a. Registration in Person

Candidates can appear in person at the Co-ordinating Centres shown under with the following documents:

i) Copy of X Std. or equivalent mark sheet

ii) Copy of XII Std. mark sheet or 3 years Diploma certificate

iii) Entrance Test Fee in the form of Cash (or) Demand Draft

iv) SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu have to produce a copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) for availing fee concession.

b. Internet Registration

Candidates can register through internet by filling-up the application form, downloading it and send it to The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai - 600 025 with the following enclosed:

i) Copy of X Std. or equivalent mark sheet

ii) Copy of XII Std. mark sheet or 3 years Diploma certificate

iii) Entrance Test Fee in the form of Demand Draft

iv) An attested copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) issued by the competent authority of Government of Tamilnadu (for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu).
