PGDM Admission Notice 2014


Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous organization of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, having campuses at Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Goa, New Delhi and Nellore, has invited applications for admission to the various regular two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes approved by AICTE.

The Programs offered by the Institute include

(i) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Travel) (Offered at Gwalior and Bhubaneswar Campuses)
(ii) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Leisure) (New Delhi Campus)
(iii) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Services) (Gwalior Campus)
(iv) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business) (Gwalior Campus)
(v) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business) (Bhubaneswar Campus)
(vi) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Cargo) (Nellore Campus

Applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline of a University or equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/ PH).  Candidates appearing for the final examination of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it with requisite grade / percentage of marks by October 31, 2014. In case the candidate fails to establish eligibility by this date, the admission would be cancelled and fees will be forfeited.

The admission to IITTM is a four-step procedure which includes (i) Applying for the Program (ii) Screening for admission (iii) Merit list and offer of admission (iv) Admission

The completed form along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PH) payable to ‘Director-IITTM’ payable at Gwalior, should reach ‘Chairman (Admissions), Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Govindpuri, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh-474011, latest by April 30, 2014.

Admission to the programme shall be through an admission process of 100 points. A weight of 70% shall be for the performance in Admission Tests considered for the purpose by IITTM. Applicant should have a valid MAT score (September 2013, December 2013 and February 2014) or valid CAT score (2013) or CMAT score (September 2013 and February 2014) or XAT score (January 2014) or GMAT score 2014. Another 15% points each are for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) respectively. A candidate to be eligible to be considered for admission must participate in all components of the admission process.

Applicant must mention their score on the application. In case a student has appeared for more than one exam, the best of the scores will be considered. The last date for applying along with the valid scores of MAT, CAT, XAT and GMAT is Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
Short-listed students will have to appear for GD and PI at any one of the IITTM centres. The centres and dates are as follows.
(i) IITTM, Bhubaneswar & Nellore : May 10-11, 2014
(ii) IITTM, Noida & NIWS Goa : May 17-18, 2014
(iii) IITTM, Gwalior : May 24-25, 2014

Candidates must come with all original documents. They will be verified before the candidate is allowed for the GD and PI.

The institute will declare results of the first screening for admission on Wednesday, June 04, 2014. The result will also indicate the programme allotted as per merit of the candidates and the choice exercised by them. This will be the first list. Allotment of seats along with the waiting list will be displayed separately for each of the programmes. At this stage the candidates may report to the reporting centre along with non-refundable processing fees through a Demand Draft of Rs. 10,000/- in favour of Director-IITTM, payable at Gwalior. Fees will be payable only if the candidate seeks admission at this stage.

Road, Altinho, Panjim, Goa-403001.

At this stage a candidate will have two choices on payment of processing fees. Confirm the seat allotted, Take admission on seat allotted and keep the option of up-gradation. This means the admission on the allotted seat is confirmed but the candidate will be automatically upgraded in case of availability of seats.


Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and physically challenged candidates will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules. Physically challenged candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
