Abinitio to CPL Course Admission Notice 2014

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, Raebareli (U.P) has invited applications for admission to 'Ab-initio to CPL Course' of Academic Year 2014-15. Course includes Ground and flying training for issue of CPL with Multi–engine endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-engine Aircraft.

Eligibility:

Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum qualifying marks as below:

General Candidates:

i.  Passed English at 10+2 level with

ii. Minimum 55% Aggregate Marks in Maths & Physics

SC / ST / OBC Candidates:

i.  Passed English at 10+2 level AND

ii. Minimum 50% Aggregate Marks in  Maths & Physics

Note:-

i) In case SC/ST and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.

ii) Total 150 candidates shall be selected for training as per respective merit lists.  They shall be inducted in batches every three months starting Sept, 2014. However, IGRUA reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of seats without giving any prior notice.  

iii) Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree from Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur, being conducted simultaneously with CPL Course, subject to completion of the prescribed syllabus on aviation subjects, flying at IGRUA and project work after completion of CPL. Duration of this course will be 03 years.

Age Limit: 

Minimum age limit for above course is 17 years at the time of joining the course.

Selection:

Selection procedure consists of Written Test, Viva/Interview and Pilot Aptitude/Psychometric Test in the following manner:-

a) Written Test:

At allotted centers on 01 June 2014 (Sunday) at 10:00 hrs onwards.

Examination Centres: (i) Delhi (ii) Hyderabad  (iii) Kolkatta  (iv) Raebareli (v) Mumbai

(Option for  two centers  is  to  be  made giving first and second choice)

Written Test Result:

Result of Written Test and schedule of Inteview/Pilot Aptitude Test/ Psychometric Test will be available at IGRUA Website at http://www.igrua.gov.in   on 11/06/2014

b)  Interview/ Viva :

Interview and viva for all successful candidates in Written Test will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from  30/06/2014 onwards.

All short listed Candidates will be required to produce following  documents in original at the time of interview:

(i)   Proof of Date of Birth ( such as 10th Class certificate )

(ii)  10th Marksheet

(iii) 10+2 Marksheet

(iv)  Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Candidates

(v)   A Certificate from the competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to Creamy layer.

c) Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test:

-  Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Tests for all successful candidates in Interview / Viva will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 14/07/2014 onwards.

-  Only successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test shall qualify for final selection.

-  No relaxation in criteria will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test.

-  All, excluding SC/ST candidates, will be required to pay Rs.6000/- as Application/ Pilot Aptitude/ Psychometric Test fee.

Admit Cards can be downloaded on or after 23 May 2014 (Friday).

How to apply:

Application should be submitted Online on website link: http://www.igrua.gov.in/Entrance/Procedure.htm from 22nd April 2014.

Non refundable application fee of Rs. 6000 for general and OBC candidates, can be paid either through internet banking, debit or credit cards or in cash in any branch of State Bank of India through a payment slip to be generated online. The instructions are available on our website for the same. The SC & ST candidates are exempt from payment of application fee.

Last date for submission of ONLINE application is 17-05-2014
