KVASU INVITES APPLICATION FOR NRI SEATS FOR BVSC & AH, B
TECH(DAIRY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY), BSC(POULTRY PRODUCTION AND BUSINESS
MANAGEMENT) AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES FOR 2014-15
Applications are invited for admission to NRI/NRI
Sponsored seats into B.V.Sc & A.H Course, B.Tech (Dairy Science &
Technology) Course, B.Sc(Poultry Production &Business Management) and
Diploma programmes (Dairy Science, Laboratory Techniques and Poultry
Production) of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University for the session
2014.
Eligibility
for NRI / NRI Sponsored seats in the Admission of 2014
Applicants must be children / dependents/sponsored
candidates of Non-Resident Indians.
Candidates applying under NRI category who passed
the qualifying examination in other countries are required to submit a copy of
their certificate/marks sheet indicating grades and percentage equivalent
marks, duly verified and certified by Indian Embassy/High Commission in that
country, stating that such examination is equivalent to Higher Secondary
Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto.
Academic
Qualification:
B.V.Sc & A.H Course:
Children / dependents/sponsored candidates of
Non-Resident Indians as per the conditions stipulated in GO(MS)No.
193/2013/H&FWD dt. 22.05.2013 and have qualified in the entrance
examination conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Kerala are only
eligible for seeking admission to the NRI/NRI-sponsored seats of KVASU for
B.V.Sc.&A.H.
B,Tech (D.Sc & Tech) Course:
Children / dependents/sponsored candidates of
Non-Resident Indians as per the conditions stipulated in GO(MS)No.
193/2013/H&FWD dt. 22.05.2013 and have qualified in the entrance
examination conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Kerala are only
eligible for seeking admission to the NRI/NRI-sponsored seats of KVASU for
B.Tech(Dairy Science &Technology)
B.Sc (Poultry Production & Business Management)
Course:
Pass in Plus two/VHSE or examination recognized as
equivalent thereto in any subject with 50% marks (Students waiting for the
result can also apply. They should produce attested copy of the final year mark
list on or before 31.07.2014)
Diploma Programmes:
Pass in Plus Two or VHSE examination recognized as
equivalent thereto with Biology as one subject. (Students waiting for the
result can also apply. They should produce attested copy of the final year mark
list on or before 31.07.2014)
A separate University rank list will be prepared
for NRI/NRI sponsored seat admission to B.Sc.(PP&BM) and for Diploma
programmes based on their merit over and above the open quota of the University
Course Fees:
B.V.Sc & A..H Course & B.Tech (Dairy
Science & Technology) Course:
Tuition fee Rs. 1.5 lakhs per semester + other fees
as applicable to regular students + Rs. 12 lakhs as one time interest free
deposit at the time of admission that is refundable at the end of degree
programme. Refund of Rs. 12 lakhs as one time deposit will be given to the
sponsor if the student successfully complete the degree programme
B.Sc (Poultry Production & Business Management)
Course:
Tuition fee Rs. 1.0 lakh per semester + other fees
as applicable to regular students + Rs. 5 lakh as one time interest free
deposit at the time of admission that is refundable at the end of degree
programme. Refund of Rs. 5 lakh as one time deposit will be given to the
sponsor if the student successfully complete the degree programme.
Diploma Programmes :
Tuition fee Rs. 75,000/- per semester + other fees
as applicable to regular students + Rs. 5 lakh as one time interest free
deposit at the time of admission that is refundable at the end of degree
programme. Refund of Rs. 5 lakh as one time deposit will be given to the
sponsor if the student successfully complete the diploma programme.

10 seats in College of Dairy Science and
Technology, Chettachal, Thiruvanathapuram
B.Sc (Poultry Production & Business Management)
Course ; (Total Seats – 3)
3 seats in College of Avian Sciences and
Management, Thiruvazhamkunnu
Diploma Programmes : (Total Seats – 10)
6 Seats in College of Veterinary & Animal
Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur (2 seats each for Diploma in Dairy Science,
Diploma in Laboratory Techniques and Diploma in Poultry Production)
4 Seats in College of Veterinary and Animal
Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad. (2 seats each for Diploma in Dairy Science and
Diploma in Poultry Production)
Application
Fee:
Candidates applying for admission through NRI quota
shall remit the application fee of Rs.1000/- (One Thousand Rupees Only) by way
of Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Finance Officer, KVASU” payable at
Kalpetta.
How to Apply
:
Application form for admission under NRI/NRI
sponsored quota can be downloaded from the link below. Applicants can submit
the duly filled in application form along with attested copies of certificates
(Qualification, age, Entrance Examination Admit Card, Entrance Examination Rank
Certificate, community, document to prove the NRI status of parent/sponsor).
The document
to be submitted to prove NRI status:
1. Certificate stating that he/she will be
sponsoring the candidates till the completion of the course
2. Employment and Salary Certificate of the NRI
Sponsor attested by the Indian Embassy of the country concerned.
The application form along with copies of above
documents and the application fee shall reach ‘The Registrar, Kerala Veterinary
and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Lakkidi.P.O, Wayanad-District, Kerala, Pin – 673
576” on or before 31/07/2014, 5:00 PM. The envelope containing the application
shall be superscripted as ‘Application for B.V.Sc & A.H / B.Tech (D.Sc
& Tech ) / B.Sc(Poultry Production &Business Management)
/Diploma(Laboratory Technique/Poultry Production/Dairy Science) under NRI
Quota.
