Intensive Course in Acting Admission Notice 2014-2015

National School of Drama Bengaluru Chapter has invited applications for admission to one year intensive course in Acting. This course shall be a fully residential course. It will commence from 25th August 2014 at Guru Nanak Bhawan, Bengaluru. Applications are invited from the candidates of southern region (Karnataka, Seemandhara, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Kerala, and Union territories of Puduchery and Lakshadweep). The total seats are 20. It is mandatory for all the selected students to stay in the hostel provided by the Bengaluru Chapter.

The language of instruction shall be English.The language of the performances shall be multilingual. The language of writing the examination shall be English or any one from the southern region.

Essential qualifications:
1. The minimum qualification shall be Graduation or equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognized university. It is relaxable in the case of extraordinary talented candidates from the tribal, folk and traditional performing art families.
2. Sufficient knowledge of theatre with participation in at least 4 productions.

Age :Minimum 20 & Maximum 30 years as on 1st August 2014
For reserved category candidates, reservation and age relaxation shall be as per rules.
All selected students shall be awarded a scholarship of Rs.4500/- per month.

Applications along with relevant documents may be sent latest by 13th August 2014 to the Camp Director on the prescribed form which may be downloaded from site www.nsd.gov.in  or may be collected in person between office hours from NSD Bengaluru Chapter, Guru Nanak Bhawan, No. 6, Tank Road, Vasanthanagara, Bengaluru-560052

Applications should be accompanied with a D.D of Rs. 100/ - in favour of NSD, Bengaluru Chapter.
Eligible applicants will have to appear for audition/ performance test at their own cost on 17,18 & 19 August 2014.
