Mathematics
Training and Talent Search Programme MTTS 2015
Applications
have been invited for admission to Mathematics Training and Talent Search
Programme, funded by National Board for Higher Mathematics and conducted by
School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Hyderabad.
The
programme will be at three levels: Level 0, Level I and Level II.
In
Level 0, there will be courses in Linear Algebra, Analysis and Number
Thcoiy/Combinatorics.
In
Levels I and II, there will be courses on Algebra, Analysis and Topology and
Linear Algebra.
There
will be seminars by students in all Levels.
The
faculty for this programme will be active mathematicians with a commitment to
teaching and from various leading institutions of the country. The aim of the
instructions is not to give routine lectures and presenta?tion of
theorem-proofs but to stimulate the participants to think and discover
mathematical results.
MTTS
- 2015 will held at three places:
S.S.N. College of Engineering, Chennai,
Tamil Nadu (Main Camp) ( May 18 - June 13, 2015)
Shiv Nadar University (SNU), Noida, U. P.
(June 01 - June 27, 2015)
Goa University, Panjim, goa (May 11 - June
06, 2015)
Eligibility:
Level
0: Second Year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their
subjects.
Level
1: Final year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their subjects.
Level
II: First year postgraduate students with mathematics as of their subjects.
Participants of the previous year level I Programme.
Applications:
Online
application can be submitted on website: http://www.mtts.org.in
Last
date for submission is February 21, 2015.
Last
date for preparing online applications would be 15th February 2015. By the same
date, the teachers should submit their recommendations online. Before 21
February 2015 the signed postal applications should reach us. List of selected
candidates will be published by Second week of March 2015
