BE Admission Notice 2015

Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women under Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore has invited applications for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Course of Academic Year 2015-17 through Entrance Examination to be held on 18.04.2015.

Under Graduate Programmes:

1. B.E. Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering

2. B.E. Computer Science and Engineering

3. B.E. Civil Engineering

4. B.E. Food Processing & Preservation Technology

5. B.E. Printing Technology

6. B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering

7. B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering

8. B.E. Information Technology

Eligibility Criteria for B.E. Courses:

Candidates bom on or after 1st July, 1995 are eligible, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years i.e., who were bom on or after 1st July, 1990 are eligible to apply for AEEE 2015. They should have studied in regular, full-time, formal stream in the school. Candidates appearing for the 12th standard examinations in March /April 2015 are also eligible to apply. A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Biology / Computer Science. Atleast 50% marks in the above subjects taken together (45% incase of reserved category).

Eligibility Criteria for B.E. (Lateral Entry) admission:

The candidate should have passed diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

Issue of application forms:

Application forms and prospectus will be available at the office of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 641043 on payment of Rs.600/- by cash or by post by sending a request to the Registrar along with a DD for Rs.650/- (For SC/ST students only Rs.300/- by cash or Rs.350/- by post on production of attested xerox copy of community certificate) drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women", payable at Coimbatore, or can be downloaded from the website www.avinutv.ac.in.

Last Date for submitting the Application

Application form duly filled in. in the candidate's own handwriting, with the attested copies of following should reach the Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 641 043 on or before 16.04.2015

i.    Proof for the date of birth

ii.   H.Sc.or equivalent mark sheet.

iii.  Transfer and Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied

iv.   Medical Certificate

v.    Community Certificate

vi.   Passport size photographs - 3 numbers.

vii.  Migration Certificate.
