Institutes of Technology (IITs)
M.Tech Admission Notice 2015
IITs have already issued admission notifications to
their MTech courses. Some are expected to issue their admission notice soon.
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the
most prestigious institutes in India that offer engineering and technological
education of internationally recognized standard of excellence. The IITs offer
courses at their Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee
campuses and also at the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University
(BHU), Varanasi and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. From the year 2008
onwards, eight new IITs have been set up across the country by the Union HRD
Ministry. These new IITs are located in the states of Rajasthan (Jodhpur),
Bihar (Patna), Andhra Pradesh (Hyderabad), Himachal Pradesh (Mandi), Orissa
(Bhubaneshwar), Madhya Pradesh (Indore), Gujarat (Gandhinagar) and Punjab
(Rupnagar), which has increased the total number of IITs to 15.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur,
Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administered the conduct of GATE. The Organizing Institute for GATE 2015 was
IIT Kanpur.
